If I blunt a chain while working I can sharpen it real quick ( bout 2 mins flat ) good enough to carry on just use a new file, give 3 or 4 strokes to each tooth then I try to get it better on the vice in the work shop in the evening. You don't have to spend much time sharpening as you think. Just try doing it quickly you'll be surprised Good luck will

  5. I will tell you why it's good it's good to leave dead wood standing in clear and simple terms. It's good for bugs and beasties. It's good for woodpeckers and squirrels. It's good for fungi And ecologists like it and it's always good to keep them happy, bin working with a really fit one this week!! Now that's it, be quiet now ahhp
  6. Hi Peter I have the arbtalk fungi app and it's v usefull. Any you can't identify from that you can post on here and ask. Don't get the arbtalk app tho else you will be on it all the time and not do any work!
  7. Who makes the best tree workers? My mate said years ago that forestry workers made better cuts and had sharper chains than pure arbs, he started as a cutter then went to merrist wood and did arb when he was 20. He was one of the best tree fallers I ever seen. And what would people rather do if they had the choice forestry or domestic tree work? Thanks will

  21. My uncle sold 1/4 acre of a field to a developer who needed it for a sewage system. For £10,000, 15 years ago. Land is worth what you are prepared to pay for it
  22. Depends how much time you have to cut it all up! I would just cut out the best easy to trim out firewood and not spend to long on anything covered in ivy or lots of small branches. Then have a big fire with wats left.

  25. Been using still 362 husky 560xp and er, a jonsereds 520sp and the husky beats the other 2 hands down with the jonsereds a close second Here is a pic of the best two mid range saws available today
