  1. Hi All who have contributed to this thread. I have got as far as I can with this saw, so far I found a clutch cover, had the piston machined fitted it all back together pulled it over and it's fired but not ran. So I put a new carb kit in and now only fires if I pour petrol down the plug hole. I've got to the end of my skill level now so I'm going to pm you this afternoon spud cod it's nearly there but not quite
  2. Thanks David, crown is nice and healthy at the moment but I will monitor it and park my truck away on a windy night
  3. The one feed roller on the 1000 lets it down. Good machine otherwise. The BC1200 on the other hand has a hydraulic crunch top roller and although a slightly bigger machine as well it's 100 times better. It's my all time favourite chipper
  4. Similar to mine. Took them off yesterday but I'll put pics on soon as
  5. Piptoporous betulinus ? And this I think is pholiota squarrosa. This last one is on the base of a whitebeam that my kids have a rope swing on and I park my car and my truck underneath. The arbtalk fungi app says can cause brittle fracture. Should I be worried? Would like to let the fungi grow on to get more photos but the kids keep picking them? Tree looks healthy enough to me but I will keep an eye on it
  6. Nice pictures David. Here's mine from today with guesses as to what they are
  7. I've just read the comments on the treebay post. Disgusting! Can't people like this be removed from the group?
  8. Yea but now the days are shorter nights are longer you got more time to mend the husqvarna
  9. You have to cradle it. Put 2 slings on the branch to lower away from each other so it will balance when it is cut and clip them both to the end of the rigging line. I'm sure some one will have some pics or drawings of it and explain it better than i
  10. I wake up every morning with numb or tingly hands it's never bothered me till I read this thread, I always thought its cos I sleep on my arms but sometimes they even go when I'm lying on my back.
  11. Hi mate I'm off work at the moment and my saw is there so can't get it for a couple days so will put pics on then
  12. If you have just nicked them could you repair them with silicone or take them to a cobblers? I wore my airstreams til the soles wore through
  13. Do you want me to send you some pictures? Also I think I have a few spares for a 260 knocking about as well, come to think of it it's an 026 actually
  14. I know someone who tried to clear the outlet on a Chinese chipper shredder put their hand up to far and the shredder blade trimmed the end of the finger
  15. Nice pics mate and always fun to dismantle a big fir but why couldn't you fell it?
  16. If I get the job I'll have a large holly to mill soon, anyone interested in the boards? If so what size?
  17. Got a 260 that works but- needs new clutch springs, the four bolts that hold the front handle come loose all the time, needs a fuel tank breather, think that's it! Part from that it's fine!
  18. Twist caps aren't bad when you work them out, push down hard, twist hard and on they go. Sometimes a little wd40 helps
  19. Does look similar thanks
  20. I thought it may be this Didn't see any seeds on it which was a pity
  21. Pretty sure it's not walnut, it's only got 3 leaflets on each leaf, forgot to say also it smelt like peas when I cut it
  22. Crown lifted this tree last week not sure what it was, the paperwork said it was a walnut but I don't think it's that. And I don't have a tree Id book. Yeah I know I should have one but can normally work out what things are, stuck on this one tho, thanks will
  23. I bought one off eBay spares were hard to get and expensive. My advice don't bother
  24. I stopped the fags and bought a vaper thing, it works great. The battery ran out today so I had a fag off my mate and it tasted horrible so quite pleased with that. Battery charged now!
  25. Found this today in a birch branch
