  1. Let us know how long it lasts!
  2.
  3. Have you tried local farms / landowners? They usually keep the old ones when they get renewed.
  4. Vosa are strict on everything.
  5. I haven't used the tr8 but I have used the tr6's both tracked & tow. I would choose the forst over jensen every time, well built & for the hours they had both done performed like new. Even though I found their sales hunger a bit ott! give lyle a ring & get one on demo.
  6. Most of the people I know who use aspen are either subbies who are 'occasional' users or business owners that charge customers silly prices & pay their staff less than the going rate. (probably to cover fuel costs!) It's a bit different if you're using 5 litres + a day...
  7. Apparently they do fit... http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=101031
  8. It's always the big city types! Clueless about country living! Escape to the country has a lot to answer for! Leave a tractor on tickover from 9am for a few hours, revving occasionally & moving the odd pallet around (that's what my smallholding landlord does for no apparent reason apart from to get away from his Mrs ) but nothing winds me up more - especially on a Sunday... The sound of your saw will then be music to his ears ;-)
  9. Did you do the conversion yourself?
  10. You need all your own kit if you are subbing properly, to be employable that it is. Same yard every day you can do for 3 months only, before you (& your 'boss') incur the wrath of hmrc Groundie 90 / Climber 120 as you are now & with your own gear /fuel Groundie 100-120 / Climber 130-150 a day for brum (I used to work in Worcestershire)
  11. Man & machine £25.00 p/hour??? Nice website btw
  12. Using your own saws? & fuel? Fast, efficient, safe & someone who cracks on without winging (& doesn't mince out when it rains)? 8hr day or until the job is done? Commuting far?
  13. With that amount of back lean he's got plenty of time to get down, put the ladder away then walk to the end of rope to pull 'er over! shame it's not a video, how about a what happened next competition?!
  14. Had to re-read the thread then Mark, aye just the one though... Then it's my round! ;-)
  15. What would be your quote then? Mine would be £450
  16. Harden them off for a few hours a day to start with & build them up to it
  17. Whatever happened to good old blocking his car In with a big load of chip?
  18. Well you're a numpty then! 'cos that would be assault int eyes of the law... & unprofessional
  19. That's what I do! It winds them up even more
  20.
  21. Milk hydrates you more than water, strange but true
  22. Had to go to the shop earlier for three bottles of TipEx.... ... ... ... Yep, big mistake....
  23. Hi, can anyone recommend a descent hire shop in south West wales for chippers & access platforms / towable mewps. I'm based near Haverfordwest. Cheers in advance.
