  2. Have you advertised yourself on here? Everytime I have its lead to work. I sub 2 days a week & the other 2 (yes I like 3 day weekends) I do my own jobs. Did you have a website? All my enquiries come from tinterweb or recommendations. Come on lads surely there's a possibility of some regular days? & a bird on the team too! :-ł

  4. & ps no I never get fed up of Tree work, it's what I love doing (unless I'm soaked through!)
  5. Guess you have got to look at your surrounding market, is it saturated with tree services? Is there a service that isn't being offered by them? Have you got the funds to buy a machine, stump grinder, processor, mewp etc. Find the gap in the market & fill it! Just out of interest, are you ex services? - just wondering why you started as s/e :-)
  6. Hia, do you sell quadrablade teeth & parts for praxis pedestrian grinders? Cheers
  7. Artic, biblical, bordering apocalyptic.

  10. Get off mate, you're fooling no one! I bet you still run for cover as soon as it starts spitting...
  11. Haha, timing it right for sure. It's not ideal to have to look up at the Crown everytime your saw traps to see which way it's swirling around so you can finish making your gob cut!
  12. Not that much rain in sunny Pembrokeshire, just flying trampolines!
  13. The trees were particularly bendy today, one felled its self when we were on a break. Any other Taffs out felling today? & do you prefer forestry when it's like this? I do :-) Tornado flattens caravans on Welsh coast as strong winds bring down trees - Wales Online
  14. Yeah inguinal, have had it for far too long now & it's painful 24/7, even if I'm lay on the sofa. Been told it's another 3 months until the op but that will be when grass cutting starts again :-( when would you have felt up to pushing a self propelled mower about? To the Op, sorry for the derail & just buy the bloody saw - everyone needs a 66! ;-)
  15. Yikes! Going to be double keyhole & was told a couple of weeks recovery which seemed a bit short. Took just under 6 months to get back to full strength after my appendix burst. Cheers bud
  16. Can I ask how long your recovery was till full strength? Got my pre op in 3 wks!
  17. I like the speed of them, I haven't used one & i haven't seen the inner gubbins but I'd wager there'll be some parts that wear out quickly. Maybe safer bet to stick with hydraulic or some eastern Europeans with splitting mauls might be cheaper ;-)
  18. Are they in their own work trucks? If so, tin of pilchards in the air vents & fish paste sarnie under the seat (so they think they have solved the problem) Putting someones chain on backwards is a bit immature... Used to work with a right knob who urinated off everyone constantly but one day we spiked him with viagra & laxatives! I tell thee - he soon wound his neck in ;-) Please reserve this course of action for complete walking penises only Personally I prefer a good old fashioned slap ;-)
  19. Sounds good to me
  20. How long did this one take bud?
  21. Just wondering because I've just started mainly as an add on to the arb work but have started advertising it as a separate service Pic was the first outing, 12hrs work but that includes picking up some from around the grounds & cross cutting some
  22. Are you busy?
  23. To the op - Good post Everyone else - good replies I lone work 2 or 3 days a week & at first it did bother me but I may be getting complacent now (more concerned about getting stuck in mud!) so thanks for the rethink :-)
  24. £80 a day & about a litre an hour when flat out. Whatever anyone gets paid, it's never enough :-) unless you're a banker!
