  1. And todays winner of 'rate my hinge' is...
  2. Big 👍 from me too, looks a good bit of kit + it means I don't have to jump start his landrover! ;-)
  3. It's a bit too star wars for site or have you got the protos helmet to go with it?!
  4. Careful Steve, that picture is porn to some people!
  5. Got to a point in the summer where I nearly started wearing a mask due to being so tight chested & snotty nosed from all the saw dust but I've given up smoking now and taken my rakers right down ;-) still it can't be good for us though, I know a couple of 60 year old + Tree fellers and they suffer badly from woodmans lung :-( so what kind of mask is it?
  6. Sure it's not the first human case of Chalara?... Sorry, couldn't resist it! Hope you get it sorted :-)
  7. Had a bad reaction on my forearms & belly thinning an ash plantation a few months back, couldn't work out what caused it, clearing through brambles etc & wasn't sure if I'd Splatterbonged some hogweed, the trees didn't look in the best of health though so, who knows?! Has it only happened in the same location or is it definitely all ash trees?
  8. Any particular Poplar, or all of them? Anyone else use good old fashioned table salt? :-)
  9. Have had problems with rhus typhinia before, that shoots up suckers like nobodies business! Are you using ecoplugs?
  10. Yeah but what a buzz that must be! :-)
  11. Don't be daft, that means you'll catch man flu! Send her out to work & have a couple of days off ;-)
  12. Bloody hell Steve! My Mrs is ill so I'm cooking & I thought I had my big boy pants on because I checked there was nothing in the oven before turning it on, now I've burnt the pizza because I was reading your government fear inducing propaganda post!... Grrrrrrr Ps. Does this mean I can't have runner ducks now ?!
  13. Hahaha, yeah I like to think so :-) don't forget about the checked shirt ;-)
  14. True but we don't work for piece work & we have both got to look after our backs! ;-)
  15. Firstly - cheers Stubby! :-) Secondly - R Mac, I know you mean hinge height! Nowt wrong with stump height - the 12 ton jcb 360 needed something to grab hold of ;-)
  16. That sucks, feel for you mate. Been thinking about security lately especially considering these posts are becoming far to regular an occurrence, that I'm thinking about getting a 10ft container to lock kit up in, it's currently in spare bedroom - I'm paranoid & my 8stone massif never sleeps! But it's becoming a p.i.t.a but what's to stop the scum just rocking up with a hiab & taking all in one go. So (Steve Bullman) is there any way we can share security tips on what worked, what didn't work in an anonymous way in a vetted members arena so we don't leave ourselves wide open / give the scumbags a heads up. If this doesn't make sense then I may have to start using aspen in the splitter.
  17. Cheers, dunno why but I always go high when it's arb? I'd get shot for that in forestry! ;-)
  18. Speaking of which... Has anyone mastered the soft dutchman / (flying?) dutchman felling cut? Or even just done it once successfully? :-)
  19. If only Wales was a bit colder, then the horizontal rain would be snow! Fair play, that beats most views I've seen from the 'office '
  20. More stunt fell than rate my hinge, Climber couldn't be arsed to climb that day so we were dropping them in oners, perfectly I might add with no damage! :-)
  21. No need to ask the same question twice?!? http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/104589-carpeting-van-roof-how-help.html
  22. Well I'm so glad you're aware now & you are quite right, apology excepted ;-)
  23. That's the first post of yours that I agree with! 👍
  24. Think I've done it once in 10 years (my first new saw!)
  25. I'll give it right back to you one of these days And if I don't meet you no more in this world Then I'll, I'll meet you in the next one And don't be late, don't be late 'Cause I'm a voodoo man of stihl
