  2. It looks about the same speed as the handy pro 7 electric splinter, I made mine one handed and with the 4 way wedge it is not too slow. Its about 4 times faster than my last horizontal splitter. Taking it easy I would say you can split 1m builders bag I about 30 mins.
  3. Thanks stubby and spud for your imput. Spud do you braze instead of welding the pipe for any reason other than it looks better. last question, whats the max rpm at full pelt would you say is a good level. thanks again.
  4. What is the porpoise of the pipe?
  5. Spud mentioned brazing on a piece of pipe? Any ideas?

  13. I would say the right spec hydraulic oil would make a big difference, it should work better when warm not worse. Have our checked for leaks? Is there much space above the oil in the tank and the filling cap?
  14. Have you changed the oil/ checked the level? Poss water in the oil?
  15. I started a thread on 7 ton electric splitters, may be of some use.Re: Be Kind....Rock 7 Ton Electric Log Splitter
  16. How much do you sell them for? Do you sell direct?
  17. Its great to have such a well stocked shop local. Nice guys too. Its not in a great drive past location but well worth making the effort to visit the shop.
  18. Sounds like a plan, modding is the way forward.
