I was using the 135 the other day and the chain was spinning on tickover so I thought it was obviously the clutch. I've not greased the roller bearing so I thought I'd have a look at it and do the bearing at the same time. I used the cord down the plug and tried a drift but it kept spinning the piston no matter how much cord I tried. I made a spanner to do the job by cutting an old socket and welding it to reinforce the pins. It removed the clutch relatively easily. I put it all back together and the problem was still there so I took it to bits again and found it was the plastic oil pump drive sticking on the crank. Cleaned it out and greased the inside and it's all good now.

As long as it has the FC or FD rating and is self mixing you should be fine with what oil you have. The ISO is just another equivalent rating system.

Last year we had a garden spider which put up a web over our window every morning and took it in at night. I was catching flies in the house and throwing them on the web to watch it run out and take them away and wrap them up. It grew quite big with all the bluebottles I kept giving it and the entertainment it created was a nice diversion as well. None of the UK spiders bites are dangerous as far as I can tell, not even as potent as a wasp sting.

Bath spider I reckon Don't often see them in the garden, must have used all the hot water.

I've got some well seasoned Poplar on the pile now along with some Birch and the Poplar smoulders and doesn't burn to ash leaving charcoal like lumps while the Birch disappears completely to a white ash. That is in a small Hunter multi fuel stove. It's usable but not great stuff.

Locked as in seized won't go up and down ? Undo the block studs and see if it will lift up to wedge in place then put a piece of bar down the plug hole and beat it into submission. Put some penetrating oil down there as well just to lube it a bit and try a spanner on the flywheel nut.

Stick a post into the floor and lower the back of the IBC onto it and it will tip forward. We used to tip metal shavings into skips with a fork lift at a foundry using this method.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.... I had to learn to use my left hand when I injured my right shoulder and found simple tasks like wiping and tooth brushing were a challenge. I swap between hands now when using tools like spanners, drills and welder and find it quite therapeutic sometimes but my writing left handed has gone back to a spider scrawl. I know a few left handers and find they seem to have a better grasp of the abstract and practical things seem to come easier to them.

If it worked fine for one day it might be unrelated to the work done unless something has come adrift like a little end clip or something. As above and see if it will turn over with a spanner on the flywheel nut.

If they hadn't thought of it before they can now go on the internet and find out how to track your car to your home where they can also retrieve their tracking device so it's a win for the thieving community.

You've drawn that on Good find really, cut some rings and get them preserved for hanging on the wall they would look good.

I had a piece of pond liner covering my wood pile but it kept filling up with water (clue is in the name I suppose) so I was donated a roof sheet this week and fitted that instead. It looks better now and don't have to keep tipping it out.

I think you'd need tie wraps, gaffer tape stretches a bit too much on it's own

We just had hailstones and wind now it's fine again but cool, down to 8°c now and the clouds are getting dark again.

I got one for £9 delivered to adjust the 135. The spline is on the Zama carb H & L screws the tick over is a straight screw head, the Walbro on my other saw has straight screw heads on all adjusters. Some use weird ones like pac man or D shapes just to keep it interesting.

Rather have a Sarp chain than a Bunt one though

Do you ever clip your saw to the tree ? It seems like a sensible alternative to me (not that I know what I'm on about) if the saw is heavy and likely to rip something or pull you down with it.

And the price is still a lot higher for second hand Stihl and Husqvarna, usually at least twice the Mitox price for something that has been well used. Some Sachs Dolmar and Echo saws sell cheaper but they don't come up that often.

I went into Spa Engineering in Chesterfield the other day for some chain oil and noticed that they have Mitox saws for sale along with the Husqvarnas they are a dealer for.

That and warming the plug in a blow lamp flame or on the gas ring but I put the fuel straight in the spark plug hole.

What they are saying is that your maintenance man would be better with a small back handle saw for general work than a top handle saw. Get him a Stihl 181 or a Husqvarna 135.

The ones on mine have ordinary screw heads, you get a screwdriver, file and scrench with them when you buy them new. They take NGK BPMR7A plug.
