  1. Nice work on the angel dervish. Them wings are stunning.
  2. You should find a stihl/echo one on ebay for the same sort of money as the fox garden one linked above. Echo for £170 with broken throttle linkage
  3. Double cab tipper transit would let them bring gear and three guys and then take away chip at the end of the day.
  4. 560xp with 18" bar here. I like the quick pickup and the reach of a longer bar.
  5. Otterbox on mine. 6 months in and going well. Worry a little about moisture or dust getting in around the holes for microphone, speaker, camera although no signs of anything bad so far. As mentioned above the rubbery material does tend to make it tougher to get in/out of pockets. My phone is also twice the size than it was.
  6. Depends how much pruning you actually do. 150 is lovely for little prunes but a bit underpowered for cutting bigger timber. I'd go husqy 540
  7. Just coming to the end of my meindl woodwalkers. Lasted twelve months and have been good, comfy from the start and kept their waterproofness well. Walked through the soles now, seems to be a fairly soft rubber. Going to replace with airstreams.
  8. Sounds very complicated and expensive to be getting in lots of machinery you don't have. Just get your groundy(s) to mtfu and get on with it. Winch the timber up. Use a speedline alongside it if the customer is delicate about the ground and it'll stop the timber from dragging.
  9. I will keep mentioning it to my local dealers when I'm in for parts etc. Hopefully someone will start stocking it before too long. Cheers
  10. Want to run aspen in my new saw. Do you have any plans to get a dealer in Edinburgh?
  11. It's Christmas. I want to know that I can wake up and enjoy my day with the family. I ain't working, it can wait.
  12. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxMBCWfDV5Q]"Dream Lines - Part I" Wingsuit Proximity Flying by Jokke Sommer - YouTube[/ame]
  13. Always thought it would be great fun to find somewhere and set up a really big swing. A couple of good videos I found on youtube below, the first in Hawaii and the second in Australia. 14. The zip on my stretch airs did the same thing. Disappointing at that price point.
  15. Audi A4 - More refined and better handling than the Skoda and about the same economy too. Although if economy isn't an issue I'd be getting another Subaru legacy, probably the 2.5l GT version.
  16. Your budget sounds all right to me. I wouldn't worry about a saw or any fancy climbing gear just now. I'd be getting all basic ppe (go straight for a climbing helmet, don't bother with chainsaw gloves)and get a silky saw too. Then get a harness, climbing line and flipline. This will give you everything you need to get going and practice climbing etc Realistically you're a fair way off freelancing if you don't yet have any experience or basic tickets so don't need any of the more expensive gear yet. It will accumulate over time(or so I have found). If you're working for someone I would expect them to provide a ground saw and climbing saw plus any rigging gear you would need.
  17. Good day today at the event, lots of amazing carving with Pete Bowsher taking the top honours with his amazing 'Blast from the past', a larger than life axe man. Some good carves from others too, including an inventive carve from Mal McEwan who took the best newcomers award with his gnome riding a dragonfly.
  18. This picture appeared on twisted sifter today and I found it quite interesting so thought I would share. Quite impressed it's still standing to be honest.
  19. I reckon you are right and it is a Wild Service Tree
  20. The Bottle Imp by Robert Louis Stevenson at the moment, part of a collection of his short stories.
  21. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PsnxDQvQpw]Everyday Normal Guy - YouTube[/ame] and [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktBMxkLUIwY]twenty one pilots: Holding On To You [OFFICIAL VIDEO] - YouTube[/ame]
  22. They are silly money yes.. but it is nice to have a jacket you can rely on. Their lofoten and trollvegen ranges are designed with climbers in mind too, so are really comfortable to wear with harness' and have pockets in places you can still get to.
