  11. been a while since I had a play with me splitter, work and other things getting in the way. at the minute ive a ridiculous amount of wood that needs splitting, some being a couple of year old. so ive a week of work to sort a few of the jobs out that ive fell behind with. just a pic of my modid splitter, wide wheels and a trator exhaust.

yep the little jimmys are more than capable of a lot of stuff. great little trucks
  14. as far as I know my granddad bought these in the late 60s, my dad was going to bin them, so now ive got them and don't really want them. there very interesting and over 40yr old I think, would be good for them to go to a good home. what do you recon?? worth out??
  15. lol. just going through all this hassle myself at the moment. I rent a small unit off a local farmer, along with four other folk in units. long story short, if you get valued at under 6k per year you don't pay out due to the small business relief thingy. that's under the current gov. I got valued at 1400 per year, then half it roughly and that what your expected to pay, but with relief and a lot of grief I hopefully wont be paying anything. found out today, when I got the bill from the council, I,d got five bills back dating to 2010!! but all looking good at the min. just another tax, I would not see any benefit from it if I had to pay it, good ol blighty.
  16. ive worked for myself for the past 15yrs, (self employed) work got a tad slack so started doing work for a local comp, just three day a week (still SE) ive allways bought me own kit, bought the best I can, and maintain it. anyway im the only SE bloke on this comp, the other five are on the books. it really pisses me of when they come out with "oh it aint mine feck it" then they winge that the gaffers don't look after out or repair it. these "lads" are in there 40s and fifties. just my little moan, w*****s the lot of them.
  17. so very very true.
  18. hot hot hot here, back to work yesterday after 3 week off, not at all pleasant when gassing and welding 16mm plate for 6 hours! but fantastic when I get home and crack a cold one!!!!
  19. sure is a murex, (touch wood) been a good welder so far, its only a single phase im on the lookout for something bigger at the mo, something 3phase with a bit more umph, for some reason the jobs I seem to getting are getting bigger needing a tad more umph.
