  1. ello, had a sudden stop in a gate way yesterday, and spotted this tree loaded with what I (think) are cob nuts?? remember picking them was I was a kid. how long do you recon for them to ripen properly? if no other bugger has spotted them I shall go back and have a harvest. name of tree??? cheers pete.
  2. ello. bit of a long shot, but I got hold of this little loverly a few days back. just wondering if any of you chaps have any tools knocking about for one of them or some pics you have of home made tooling??? cheers, pete, its a Norton NO.6
  3. lmao, after reading that, I,d have to get a allen scythe just for the experience.
  4. where you based firestorm? might be able to fab up for you.
  5. haha, by the sounds of it ive got the identical one as yourself, use it on meself and then the hounds get a trim when the weathers warm, lasted ages so far.
  6. ello jon, it were off flea bay, one sold in this country, think it were about 60 nicker, it don't have replacable tip.
  7. did,nt get a vid today, perhaps tomorrow, but I had a good day, split about two ton, what do you call those bits that are like a junction, where two branches vee out?? anyway, had a few of then kicking about that I never split we a axe, machine pulled straight through them, very impressed with it myself. as for my cheap splitting cone, so far its still got a very good edge on it, being as it were a cheapy I thought it would loose its edge pretty fast. the dangerous side of things, I aint come across any yet, had one thin little bit of branch flip over and rap my knuckles, but hey you live and learn. best bit of kit ive made for a while, enjoyable to use. might get a vid up tomorrow, if not next weekend.
  8. was going to ask, how do I get a video off my phone on to comp?? can get pics off phone onto here, cant be to difficult?? vibration wise, it was terrible, till I put the braces in 45deg across the corners, it was all trial and error, but seems ok now. going to put it through its paces this weekend, got about 7 ton of ash I want to split, so that should be a good test. will try and do a vid.
  9. in the end I got a nilfisk, one of the 64 nicker ones, fantastic bit of kit, great for the 90 chassis.
  10. finally got it finished, a few teething probs to start with but all sorted now. ive got it running just off tick over, revs don't drop at all on half decent logs, drop a little when I put a bit of proper nasty narly stuff on, don't think I,ll be stalling it any time soon.
  11. anyone off here going? I got a cottage booked in blanford for a week, the shows on that weekend so going to go for a day.

  16. looks like I might get one of them, easy to take back if it f,s up, and good enough for a couple times a year use. no doubt it will end up doing more, but should have a half decent returns policy.

  18. think I,ll go for the karcher k2,
  19. cheers, that makes sense to me, I don't care if it takes that little bit longer to wash the chassis down, as long as its better than a hose pipe. I live on a boat so don't have a patio or any fancy garden things to go green
  20. evening all, prob been done 100 times or more. im after getting a washer, just to wash the chaasis off on my 90, wont be used for anything else, so prob only used twice a year. been looking at the karcher range, what do peeps think of the K2?? cheers.

  22. been on about making one for a while, its been sometime in the making, but im almost there. ive been waiting to bits and pieces to fall into my lap for free. I started out with no pulley wheels and now ive ended up with three different sets . so its cost me so far the cost of a few bits of box and the screw cone. anyway a few pics. your thoughts??? cheers.
  23. lol, used to do exactly the same, then got into pipe bombs, frightening really, set one off one evening with me mate, on a man hole cover outside this blokes house we did,nt like, took the man hole cover out and a few of the blokes windows:blushing: police heli up, nether did get found out.
