  3. bring it on!! all 12volt and bottled gas here on the boat, if cant get no gas theres the wood burning stove. mind it would b.gger me work up as I weld, oh well just go and play in the woods. doubt it will come to out anyway.
  4. ive a 4kw morso stove on my 62ft narrow boat, got a ecofan very cheap years ago when I was building boats, both stove and fan are great , stove will be going none stop for a few months when the weather turns. middle of winter, walking round in me pants and vest windows and doors wide open. all from free wood.

Just found this picture of my old matador with the trailer she worked with ! wish I still had it. last time I saw her she was in the Northampton area has anyone seen her ? how long ago was it when you saw her in the northants area? my mate had one in northants, hes still got her but its in france now. he must of got her between 15 to 20 years ago (at a guess)
  6. a few yrs back me and my mate were on sight on a Friday afternoon, rushing to get done for the pub!! got in the transit to come home and the bat was flat, ground was to rough to bump it. there was a old digger parked up with a flat, so I took the bat of that and used two of those steel bands that go round packs of bricks as jump leads. were,nt late for the boozer!!!

  8. just started a three day a week welding job, boss man said to me what hed expect in a day, I said I,ll do what I do if your not happy I,ll feck off. hmm want me six days a week now, pacing ones self is the way to go. cant help some people!

  15. had four mink down by my boat, they were traveling between the river avon and the canal. ducklings had gone in a few days and some moorhens. no more mink, a trap and mackerel heads soon sorted them.

  19. cheers for the replys, I have a various ingines about and a few reduction boxes, im far from stupid, so would not make "cobble" something together that I would injure myself with. I enjoy making my own kit as I know it will do what I want it to do, and it would be a sight better than I could buy. just wanted to know about splitting cones?? thanks.
  20. afternoon all, been reading and lurking for some time, did,nt ask for out in me first post lol, (but now I am) I was going to make a hydraulic log splitter, but ive got all the bits in me spare part bins to make a screw type splitter, either petrol ingine or electric motor. the one thing im after is the screw threaded cone, does anyone know where I can purchase one cheaper than 80 nicker?? or does anyone have a old one kicking about they want to part with?? don't really want to throw 80 nicker away in case my idea don't work. cheers, pete.
  21. evening all. pete here, drive a 4x4 that does what it was designed to do and it does it well for a 23yr old daily drive. I converted a sankey into a logging trailer that also tips. a carpenter by trade, but love doing nice welding projects.
