Hi guys , I have been using the hook on my felling bar aa a cant hook but it’s not ideal ,so today I was looking round to buy a proper cant hook but struggling to find one it looks like Sthil have discontinued them so any ideas where I can buy one . Thanks Mark

Hi it’s quite forgiving if it’s anything like the iso ,my first job was spray painter I did a 3 yr apprenticeship spraying Rolls Royce and other prestige cars and we mostly used iso 2pack that’s why my lungs are F###ed ,so if it goes on the same just crack on not too thick on the first coat it should look like dust and then the second coat a bit thicker so it looks wet but be careful not to get runs ,if in dought just build it up with as many thin ish coats as your paint will allow ,just out of interest what colour are you painting as black is the hardest it shows all the sanding marks a 360/400 wet and dry used wet to sand the primer degrease with thinners or panel wipe .good luck and do post a photo

Hi mate if you are unsure with the spray cans just dust it on lightly and as many coats as the paint allows but if you are quite good with a spray can lay it on a bit thicker but be warned if it’s too thick it will run so it’s up to how good you are at spraying

Hi Les ,yeah he’s ace but very stubborn,but he slept in his bed no mess on the floor this morning but aI think everything we own will end up covered in white dog hair my hoody already looks like a dog bed and I have only had it on half an hour,sorry for the derail

Hi I have just been looking at Barclays and NatWest as we have accounts with both and they both had an option to open an account just to manage the loan through if you only have a personal account sorry can’t put up a link as I don’t know how to,give me a chainsaw or sander over a computer every time,we will be applying in the morning as it’s the first night with our new rescue dog who is a British Bulldog and all confused and knackered but will not quite settle

So if you don’t mind me asking how much is that slab of Ash worth ,pricing of slabs is something I am struggling with especially now I have a mill it’s something I defo need to get my head around. Thanks Mark

So we delivered my mateys coffin the other day and I just had to ask how many other people have made a coffin for their mate and in 10yrs we are only the second people to do it ,well in the undertakers where my mate is .

When you try to apply for the grant they want your business rate number and if like me you don’t even qualify to pay them ,so I needed to get rate assessed but they would not do that so even though we have a small business,with a retail shop we don’t qualify for F##k all it’s typical big business gets their cash but the small guy gets F###ed over as usual ,we need a revolution

Hi yep lots of sanding ,total ball ache ,but when all sanding is done have a look at penny floor resin ,resin floors last for yrs and yrs totaly water proof but if you’re pipes run under the floor and you get a problem then big job ,something to think about Good luck with it and do keep us informed Welcome to the forum Stay Safe

Hi guys thanks for all your reply’s , I think I sorted it the metal bit that the water feed pipe comes through kept moving so I had to dismantle it re tap the thread put a bigger bolt in it ,and replacing the band ,and all the other bolts , I use Steven Cull for band sharpening,I really didn’t realise how often the bands need changing ,it sure is a big learning curve but thanks to all you guys I am getting my head round it . Thanks Guys

So guys I have been Alaskan Milling for a few yrs now !but not had it out much since I broke my ankle,so I keep hearing about Low Pro ,what’s the difference say between a Sugi bar with 404 ripping chain !is it thinner,quicker ,just curious. Thanks guys

Hi for what’s it’s worth I don’t think it’s Sapele it’s not red enough,all the cabinets in our living room were made from Sapele by my dad
