Hurray I finally got myself a 3 phase converter bought a new one in the end sadly I couldnt afford a rotory one had to get a static one but that only means I can only run one machine at a time so now just need to make a space for and service the big Wadkin already had a sparky come and have a look so hopefully 2 weeks and my 25 inch thicknesser will be up and running been a while coming but so Chuffed .

  3. So the guy I got them from was telling me that they were used for clearing drains not sure if this is right but he did say they were used to clear drains by his grandad .

  8. Bloody Shed ,so I decided to glue the roofing felt on got the glue given sticky black shit one side went ok but the 2nd the felt went like squidgy I dont know if its the heat but had to ŕedo one side never had roofing felt go like that before As usual your thoughts are welcome Cjeers Mark
  9. So I phoned this company that sells Borax and the quote I gets is like £100 but I am sure on an old thread somebody was saying get it from ebay for like £15

  12. Hi guys it is Borax to treat mould on boards just had some monkey puzzle back from someone else who milled it and let it all go mouldy funny as the boards I have milled haven't gone mouldy and all from the same tree As always your thoughts are appreciated
  13. Posh dog kennel or summer house 3x2cls frame with 18/20mm western red cladding and dorrs not enjoying this build very much be glad when it's done not making much on it as its for a friend of our landlady
  14. Cool thanks its surprisingly light for it's size being Sequoia it's finished with a 2 pack water based exterior lacquer so hopefully it'll keep its cool colours

Hi so at the Estate I look after the boss has baught a new saw a Husky 445 nice saw except it keeps throwing the chain off, even like the second time I used it, I did notice the bar has a tiny bend in it if its on the bench flat you can just notice it but after all these years working with saws I don't think it's this that's causing the trouble as always keen to hear your thoughts Thanks Mark

  19. I have the air shield pro and thats ace apart from the ear defenders but I just use those squidgy ones and they work ok .
  20. Hi Laz you could always put one in your garden ,this one is going in a garden thats why I used an exterior lacqure hopefully it will not just silver with age
  21. Hi Laz might not have but I have done a big mirror in coast redwood it really likes the litchenburg I will try and take some pics but its tucked out of the way so it dont get broke

Hi not in the workshop today but will take some pics from underneath tomorrow so you can see whats going on ,the customer sent me theses photos that just showed a big table top and legs similar to mine but the people who take theses photos are crafty as they never show the fixing points so you can see how its done then people who dont make things have no idea on the ballache when they give you an image and say Like That please ,but hey so glad you all like it ,and it will defo pop when we put the finish on ,got some water based exterior lacquer from Wood Finishes in Yeovil a 2 part system an impregnator that has a fungicide in it then the lacquer its bloody good stuff and the guys at Wood Finishes are really helpful .   24. Hi the top is blind morticed with coach screws and glue and the feet are full mortice ,and the stretcher is half lapped and peged glad you all like it
