  1. That’s very kind of you chippy as I guess there are many on here like me who are very good at what they do but completely shit at the business side of things,I manage with the self assessment tax etc as I do have an accountant but anything as knowing what to claim for at times like now I wouldn’t have a clue, now that brings me on to the question of Will my accounting company know the ins and outs of what I can claim for and do in relation for any financial support if needs be.?
  2. That’s it stubby...dress them and get them over to France if there running out of pate.
  3. And 2 Assholes for that price.
  4. If we all sat down i’am sure we would add lots more it just depends what era you come from...I come from a time when every Friday night 10.30 hammer house of horror with peter cushing,Biris Karloff,Christopher Lee amongst them...used to scare the crap out of me and I still have a pillow close by now when I watch them....and the original mummy still makes my blood run cold even now and i’am 57...something’s just never leave you...but the early John Wayne films were the best and the Quiet Man is such a feel good film.
  5. Here are 3 films that you could watch and I never get fed up of watching him.John Wayne. (1) The Quiet Man. (2) The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. (3) The Serchers
  6. Yep...April 1979 but not sure what that’s got to do with it but anyway...keep it as simple as you can as in today’s climate to much fecking about with words and not enough doing or getting done what needs to be and this is why I don’t ever employ people cause the politics and the hassle involved in it takes up more of my valueble time.
  7. You sound like a decent type of bloke and seemed to like this lad so there could be a good future in him subbieing for you long term..but surely you made enough out the job and if you paid the lad 2 1/2 days surely to save all this shit you could have payed him the other 1/2 and had a up and coming decent climber/worker for future jobs and has for cutting through your strop that’s not the end of the world is it...you even said yourself the job went really well so what’s the real issue?just pay the lad his full 3 days and everyone one walks away happy ffs the jobs harder enough has it is with out arguments over 1/2 days pay or is it the principal? If so that makes it even worse...if you get a rep for not paying what you should word spreads quickly in this game and you may find next time it won’t be so easy to get someone.inconculsion i’am not taking sides here but if I was a teacher I would bang your heads together and tell you to stop being childish.
  8. Thank f—k for that?
  9. That’s the one htp..thanks for that....you didn’t comment on what you thought about it?
  10. Not sure he was taking the piss mick? But guess the idea can move on from there..I personally use the foldable cotton linin baskets for my throw lines they cost £4 and have had same one about 10 yrs now.
  11. Have updates on sales and such from Honey Brothers,FR Jones and other Arb suppliers and yesterday had a message come through about a New Lanyard gadget called K1 Neat Freak a lime green piece of shaped plastic with a couple of rollers built in the store your lanyard excess line..firstly I thought nice idea saves doing daisy chain etc and was thinking mite give it a go and in my mind I thought £20 maybe......naaaa don’t be silly Wayne how about £1 off £100 these people treat us like rite mugs thinking that they can price this stuff at anything they want and we will buy it,well i certainly won’t be and will be sticking to the good old daisy chain thanks and keep my hard earned £100 in my pocket.sorry I can’t download a pic but am sure someone will.ps I know some on here will go and buy one so nothing against them for doing so as I do think it’s a good idea but not £100 worth that much of an idea.
  12. Matty I may have just been lucky or you unlucky but I have had a number of 200 over the years and found them reliable and can they can take a good knock but with the introduction of the newer smaller top handles such has the echo 211 and MS192/3 and 150 etc after using these chainsaws then picking up a 200 again made it feel like a 660. As for that farmertec 200 I was thinking like you with yours that you got, getting them power head and spending another £100 on it to make a decent one out of a no so decent one...may be put that thought to bed now I have asked the question.
  13. Like you say Big j always a positive...fuel coming down daily and could be £1 a litre soon...better start stock piling the cans?
  14. That’s the one Ratman...what do you know about them and are they worth a punt or just stay well clear??????
  15. Being self employed like the majority of guys on here and some have regular self employed guys working for them,I was just thinking if we have to self lock down for a couple of weeks will the Government pay us lost income??
  16. Not Chinese Holzfformer or something like that which sounds Swedish or similar and have just watched it on YouTube and to be honest it sounds and runs pretty good, the bloke had a shit chain on..its just the power head you buy and fit your normal 12” or 14” stihl bar and chain.got to admit am tempted as it looks and sound just like the old 200.?
  17. Has anyone herd or has got a Farmertec G111 top handle saw? Just seen advert on eBay for advanced order for this saw which looks exactly like and MS200 but blue...is this for real,Any comments?
  18. All of the above sounds feasible as there was something not helping me on Saturday so next time I get one I will say a prayer and throw some holy water over it before I start.just spooky.Anyway it was worth all the hassle and rushing as England won(just).
  19. There are a few trees I don’t really look forward to doing any kind of work on be it Reduction and or complete Removal, such as Hawthorne,Holly you know the usual pigs...but as of today my new least favourite is Elder. i had to reduce the biggest Elder I have ever seen and to say it didn’t want to go quietly is an understatement. it mite have been because I was in a rush to get it done so I could get back for the rugby but boy what a bastard she was(yes definitely a female). Every branch and or limb I cut got hung up or jammed it’s self in a fork or crutch, nothing would fall were I wanted it too, when dragging it got caught up on every piece of fencing nook and cranny it could find and when going through the gate it was like it was saying i’am not leaving here and managed to jam it’s self in the handles and get hooked up it was fighting me all the way. Even when chipping it was still not having it,every branch seemed to whip me across the face arm legs it was a being a proper bastard,I guess its the old adage that when you want to get somewhere quick something gets in the way and because I wanted to get back in time for the Rugby may be I was subconsciously thinking it was being difficult and rushing i don’t know but it just seemed to fighting me all the way.??
  20. I did exactly that mick many years ago when I had an old pezzalarto Chipper and an old pickup with a canopy on. I fixed a 3ft 4” piece of plastic pipe on the nozzle of the Chipper so it would shoot into the back of the pickup.
  21. Yes get were your coming from Mick but was thinking the first shows country shows start in the next couple of months and carry on until September time and if the virus accelerates will they have to start cancelling any.?
  22. Just thinking about Coronavirus and the way it’s spreading will any of or all the country shows around the country this year be cancelled including Game Fairs /Food Fairs Etc and the ARB & APF SHOWS and if so when will the organisers decide.?Cheltham is still on as they wouldn’t dare pull the plug on that.
  23. Morning all and just a quick up date on Weaver...he is 7 months old know and coming on really well(hope he stops growing soon?). anyway weather down here has been bad and everywhere is either flooded or just a mud bath and haven’t been able to get out as much as I would like and been doing lots of call outs so pretty knackered at the mo...did a small job in Tetbury yesterday and took weaver as normal the garden was big enough for him to run round and play most of the day..covered in mud and shit but he loves it..first thing to do after put the gear away and put the kettle on was to give him a bath....this is Weaver just relaxing but wanting to go out again.more updates when I can get out and do some proper work with him.
