  8. Could you get an answer machine with a message telling them to call your mobile?
  9. Thanks for the advice everyone. There's only me driving it at the moment but may be good to put it in company name.
  10. Is there are advantage or otherwise to putting my pick up in the business name. I'm a sole trader and don't know wether to have it in my own name or add on the business name. Cheers
  11. I can't agree more with you on that. And they get paid stupid money to do it. All they are good at is making people think they are good at the job but actually they do nothing worthwhile. I can't understand how these type are valued so highly whilst people doing the hard work don't get the pay or recognition. I wouldn't mind if they were good but it seems the higher you go the less there are. Don't get me wrong, when you get a good manager they are worth the money. But they don't seem to get far! I've gone self employed so now I've only got one **** manager in charge ... Me!
  12. A good healthy moor will soaks up the rainwater and release it slowly which helps alleviate flooding. Trouble is it's already soaked up a lot of rain before the heavy downpours.
  13. Pressie of the day was a lie in from the kids! Another one was Norwegian wood. Anyone read it? Not sure I can get through a whole book!
  14. Anyone know of anyone closer than Kent?
  15. Thanks Matt. That's a fair distance to travel!
  16. Is there anyone with a mobile firewood processor that can work in the South Pennines? In particular around Hebden Bridge? Cheers Rob
  17. My grandad had waltzing Matilda. He's not an Aussie so I don't know why. I'd like anything that put a smile on people's face. I don't like the idea of people crying at my funeral.
  18. No, not asking for advice mate. I've ordered one of these though. Syphon Siphon Pump Tool Pump Oil Extractor Petrol Diesel Fuel Liquid Air Pump | eBay Not planning to do it again but at least i'll be able to blow my beach ball up!
  19. It's a face my daughter made out of twigs and moss etc. might be as well to change if I'm the only one who can tell.
  20. The ginsters pasty hasn't worked so I'll give I go thanks.
  21. Thought I'd treat my pick up to a bit of posh diesel and put unleaded on by mistake. Never done it before. 1/2 tank in so too much to get away with. Just waiting for fuel doctor to arrive. Swallowed a few glugs of fuel trying to siphon it out without success. What a moron! Sticking to regular from now on!
  22. We had an 8 ton digger move just off a track and end up bogged down up to the cab. They had to get another machine in to get it out which, just after getting it out went off the track on the other side and did exactly the same. Lucky they got the other one out first!
  23. Here's mine. Feedback welcome. Aitch Trees
