  1. Looks good. What do you use for your non-slip material on the wood?
  2. I've had a skoda for a few years now and i'm getting another next time i buy one. It's never let me down, good to drive and great on fuel.
  3. i'd work in the snow any day than be stuck in an office.
  4. Hi all Here's the response from Monsanto about use near water "... Ecoplug Max does not have aquatic approval. Although it is on the label in the Nordics and is an ideal product for use in aquatic zones we did not submit any data for the UK at the time of approval and so are not able to include it on the label. We are undertaking trials at the moment which we will submit to CRD later this year and hope to have aquatic use on the label by next year." So currently it can't be used within 5metres of a watercourse at the moment.
  5. It was EA That recomended them to us, in passing, but it doesn't mention anything about aquatic use on the label which worries me. There may be a SOLA for it which i'll look into. I've contacted the manufacturer to check and will let you know what i find out. It certainly seems safer than using a brush. so i'd hope they were approved.
  6. Does anyone know if ecoplugs are safe to use near water? They aren't aquatic approved on the labels and i need to kill some stumps on a river bank. I'd much prefer these than a paint pot and brush!

    Ford Ranger

We've got an L200 in work and was going to swap for a Ranger but the feedback i got was that towing was rubbish, especially off road. I think the new ones are meant to be better as has been mentioned but we're sticking with the L200.
  8. It's worth asking for the PA6Aw (for use around water)at the same time. I've not long passed mine and got this added on for nowt. There is hardly anything extra to do for it.

    First saw

Thanks for the advice everyone. I did buy a second hand pro saw from ebay soon after passing but it was an expensive dud. Luckily the chap took it back but it's worried me a bit and i'm keen to get one i can look after so i am sure of it's history. I'm sure there are bargains out there though. The husky does have a primer doesn't it? I thought i'd made my mind up but then i'm swayed again! Too indecisive. I'm sure i'll be happy with either.

    First saw

I'm a reletive newbie to chainsaw but having got a decent amount of experience mainly on a MS261, I'm in the market for my own saw. I do like the 261 but my budget won't strech and the stuff i'm doing i'll be able to get away with something smaller. Basically small trees and ground work. My idea is to get something that will do me for a long time and when my experience builds up i'll get a bigger saw to complete the set! I've got a budget of around £300 so I've been looking at the stihl MS211 or Husky 435 and i've pretty much decided on the husky. Is it worth me saving that bit extra for the next model up? I have to draw the line in the sand somewhere though. Also is it worth getting the easy start model? I know there is never a right answer in this sort of thing only opinions but any advice appreciated.
