Why is tidal energy not the complete focus of renewables, it's completely predictable unlike wind and water, it's like we look and spend on the cheaper unpredictable options first😳, but I suppose wind and hydro give the big landowners a few quid of the free money first! Establishment?

Yup, maybe if the outer half of table ( not much pressure on it when splitting) could swing out of the way when lifting ring, then swing back in when dropping ring on table? Be easier than swinging ring about.

I use a firelighter then throw on a few logs (larch mainly) and away she goes, not used kindlers for a good number of years now.

Who uses kindling, is it mainly coal burners, how do they get kindling burning, firelighter/newspaper? Genuinely interested.
