Pumps and marriage guidance! Your talents are astonishing old boy😉
  3. Yep, go to bed when you're tired, and get up when you're not tired.
  4. Wasn't really trying to make any comparisons, just wondered what it costs to shoot for a day. For the most part the beaters do it for enjoyment rather than money it seems.
  5. What do the guns pay for a days shooting?
  6. The farmer bashing comment wasn't a serious remark Kevin, as I'm sure you know. Your views are always pretty fair minded as far as I can see. Big landowners as you say will have considerable influence on decisions and that will be the same everywhere that falls under CAP. And then when renewables come in with wind turbines etc, whose in the ideal position to receive more of the "free money"?
  7. Through a treatment system usually🙄
  8. Think I've probably posted this before...https://youtu.be/jSRHpA2giUk
  9. The perils of drinking borehole water!
  10. 😆😆😆😆😆
  11. When were the subsidies cut?
  12. What sort of answer were you looking for? Agriculture in Nz is the same as gb? Surely not?
  13. Aye, well, that's another kettle of fish mark. The more welfare you have, the more expensive your product is!
  14. Try and show it then mr dales
  15. Btw, what will brexit look like when it's " up and running"?
  16. They have all year round grass growth in most parts, that makes the job considerably easier to say the least. If you haven't a clue mate, don't comment.
  17. Seems ok to me, your input is always...... interesting, and usually, to the point.
  18. Aye, give them a public right of way, then they run amongst your cows with dogs and wonder why cows go mental protecting their calves. The great British public🙄
  19. Ok ok ok!
  20. Rights?
  21. Public..something of way?
  22. PRoW? Sorry☹️️
  23. Yes, an enormous subject indeed, our landscape that we look at each day is almost all manmade and the landscape outside built up areas is the way it is due to agriculture, made that way over thousands of years, what did it look like before that? I for one don't really know but probably wouldn't make for easy walking on an evening stroll, it took a lot of time effort and nowadays money to make it like it is, and will always take money to keep it accessible I'd imagine, whether it's farmers, tree huggers or economists who are looking after it.
  24. Oh dear kev, you've fairly got farmer bashing bit between your teeth now:), when you say remediation do you mean letting vast tracts of land grow wild?
  25. On reading thread title I did wonder if "my front of house bushes" was a euphemism!
