  1. Chicken, honey and mustard wraps with salad and chips apparently, sounds good, but the proof of the pudding.........
  2. Sounds cool! Or maybe hot, but sounds good anyway, many happy returns.
  3. I see what you mean Steve, context is not always easy to figure out when reading posts ,Mull.
  4. One post says hire a chipper and go it alone, the other says get experience first. They're both good advice? A wee bit confused!
  5. Can't seem to get past " your address details" on donation site! Will keep trying. Appreciate your humour pal, best wishes to the boy.
  6. Sounds like they got both at very early stages, best you can hope for I suppose, nae bother tae the Big Yin.
  7. Gale of wind, heavy rain, power been off during the night at some point. Only another 8 months of this and it should start to improve again! The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong.

Probably a bit of both, the deer will graze a bit, but it's had sheep there for many years and if left to go to scrub will be very difficult to bring it back, seems a bit shortsighted, although I don't blame the farmer for his decision, it's just a poorly thought out system I think.

Too much hassle for the farmer these days, and I guess he'll still get his payments as they are area based and not headage. A flawed subsidy system, same story on hills all over Scotland. Took six of us, all with dogs about 8-9 hours to gather the hill, I suppose it's an expense he can live without!

My dog, the black and white one!😏 Taking sheep in off the hill, not an arbdog btw, but a few plantations in the background! This was the first time I'd gathered this hill and apparently the last! No sheep going back on the hill after this gather, seems a bit sad to me.
  14. Oh I see, that not in the least amusing!!😐
  15. Pie green road!! Haha Don't know why, but that made me laugh!
  16. An apprentice on minimum wage would get £2.68 ph just seen it on google, must be true. Bit shocking, no?
  17. It's not great, I agree. But it is on a par with what the OP was offering to the "groundie with attitude".
  18. They were mentioned in quote on my first post, just wondered that's all! 👍
  19. So £60 to £68 a day, that would be decent money for a new groundie then, thanks for the answer.👍
  20. We don't have street sweepers in this part of the world, infact we don't really have streets! I guess you have no idea of the answer to my original question?
  21. I was merely asking what a sweeper earns! We all know the difference between employed and self-employed! Not sure what you mean my friend!
