Summer heat!!! You get it easy down there Jon!

Gave my mate a hand with the last of his silage today, nice day for it and good again tomorrow I believe. Feet up in front of the stove now, bliss!! Is the fire lit in Somerset?

Aye, still on Jon, a bit more wind and rain last couple of weeks, it's on earlier every day now, woodpile getting smaller everyday too of course😞.

Mainly building work also keep some sheep, couple of cows, bit of shearing/ gathering and silage work in summer. Arbtalk interest comes from the need to keep the stove going! Had plenty good advice on here and got my second saw here. A good bunch I think!!👍

Would think that cement would be quite brittle and components should separate with a bit of a shoogle! (Apologies for the technical terminology)😏

👍. A top tip that muldonach, been using it for a number of years now. Never use a hammer, and if log doesn't split it always comes of the maul so never gets stuck in log.
