  2. Is the difference between the 5 and 10 only 2 hours duration and 450m range or is there something else? For £200 inc vat I can kit out two of us with the 5's. Regards, Steve.
  3. Shame as he stumbled and fell he didn't reach out and get his light fingers caught in a vice. Regards, Steve.

  7. But a 3 tonne winch can be handy too..... Regards, Steve.
  8. Bet they're not half as loud as Insa Turbo Dakars - 17" on Navara and remove ear wax above 30mph, drop 5mpg and don't seem to be wearing great but....Goodyear not available in Navara size and these were £340 inc.VAT delivered. Same as any tyre, incredible grip on grass/solid ground but once the treads are full of mud you might as well be on slicks.... Regards, Steve.
  9. Thanks adw, will make a few phone calls tomorrow. Regards, Steve.
  10. Thanks a lot Stubby, heading in the right direction now. Can be had for a fiver and look identical, just got to get the length (and diameter) verified. Regards, Steve.
  11. Hi all, Father in law has a McCulloch Mac 335 that has snapped it's clutch spring. Have found an IPL that shows the clutch complete (£35) but nowhere can i find the spring on it's own. Guessing it'll be the same as a husky one somewhere so i've more of a chance of getting just the spring. Six pin sprocket drum is 66mm o/d and 63mm i/d, spring looks to be approx 118mm in length. Any thoughts please? Regards, Steve.
  12. Note to self, must read post properly..... pm sent Regards, Steve.
  13. Ditto - have tipper and trailers. 07734 943570 Regards, Steve.
  14. I'll do it for the wood
  15. Or try typing 'backbone tree rigging' into Youtube Regards, Steve.
  16. Chipped a small amount of bamboo a couple of weeks ago with palm, willow and cypress without any apparent problem. Are some chippers more susceptible than others? Regards, Steve.
  17. Well South Wales is cheaper than Surrey for a start - no surprise there! Regards, Steve.
  18. Thanks Sloth, Agreed, for someone local it's literally ten minutes on site then write up a quick RA. Just trawling through the AA list and will make a couple of calls Monday. Regards, Steve.
  19. German helmet again this year Jon? Regards, Steve.
  20. Evening all, Quick question for the locals as there is the obvious geographical difference in rates, what should my parents expect to pay for a risk assessment on two, possibly three trees on a private estate in Surrey (I moved 200 miles away some 20 years ago)? I can't do it as I have the same surname which could throw up a possible 'conflict of interest'. Regards, Steve.
  21. It's the entry level one, just as good. The only thing that lets it down is the time lapse is 0.5 secs non adjustable. It came with two back covers, one is waterproof and muffles the sound and the other has slots which let the sound/ rain/ woodchip in! The last part of the vid we just placed it on the ground but I do have a tripod mount made up, one which i'll be able to wrap around branches in the tree too. Thanks for watching. Regards, Steve.
  22. Flock this, i've herd it all now
  23. Nothing special to watch, it's a Sycamore pollard which we stuck on Youtube more for potential customers than anything else. Just to show that we don't have to damage their property when working on their trees and we tidy up afterwards! Still experimenting with the software. Saw volume needs reducing, need to speed up the last section and start using some different viewing angles - would love a drone!! Just realised that comments had not been enabled on the first vid so now sorted. Regards, Steve.
  24. He's asking you for your professional help, then telling you how it has to be done.....
