The heat from the bead is doing the job of expanding/popping the bearing? The washer is so you can have something to hit from the other side? So it must be smaller dia than bearing to allow for welding?

This is Garden kit territory but if you've worked out it's part 44 then maybe it's part of the clutching?.This is more moral than technical support.....until the cavalry arrive.

2p worth. I would have thought if crank case was ruptured smoking would be the least of your problems.sure it's not leaking onto the muffler somehow? What oil fuel ratio do you use?

Ripped off.They seem to have changed their name yet again treeandgrass.co.uk or some version of that. Blindstickinsect etc Had my money no delivery no reply. Sickener as I used to use them a lot.

I've got a trusty stihl t27, gedore t25 and facom allen T's - good investment. Have a few Aldi but had a couple of them break.

I'm no expert but wondered if it was drawing air in at the join of carb and engine.Can't picture that set up but easy to test by squirting a bit of wd 40 around the mating surface during running.

Can anybody tell me intake and exhaust clearances for this 4 stroke strimmer please - carb ultra cleaned - bogs at WOT and seems to backfire slightly through carb.Thanks.

Fuel starvation it was! Cheers chaps, spot on diagnosis, really appreciate your help. Was convinced ignition was playing up. Saved a few bob. Had carb off again thought maybe it was the float bowl pin dragging a bit so emeryd that then took that fuel tap off. See pic for the issue. Runs like a gentle giant , no screaming and masses of torque. Becoming a kawasaki fan.

Couple of things.Its a bowl carb, no fuel filter just hole in bottom of tank down through pipe to carb- so filter is inside filler hole. Cap doesn't appear to have any visible breather hole at all but it does have one of those disc pads on the inside.I suppose a bowl carb fuel tank will need to breathe too?? Thanks Harry, Barry and Spud.

TD40. New crank seal. Pressure / Vac tested. Carb cleaned. New plug. Run it flat out for a minute and it dies as in vid, will start more or less immediately on idle - wide open again and it will die. All running in vid is at wide open throttle. ps Has external type electronic ignition module - changed that for new atom type one - no difference.
