  1. There's hundred of vids on youtube.I like weldingtipsandtricks and chuckE2009
  2. I have no knowledge of chemistry but am with Barrie here. Get the diaphragms out of a dry stored 2 stroke carb and they often feel like cardboard - all elasticity gone. I've tried re- soaking them in oil, petrol, even dot 4 break fluid which somebody told me. Once that elasticity goes it don't come back.
  3. Can't see much here about what metal you're trying to weld? I'm an amateur but my first and most important lesson was whatever kit you use if you're trying to weld unsuitable / too thin metal you'll get frustrated + welding is all about the prep / cleaning / butting etc . If you're going to be doing lots of thin sheet stuff invest in a mig - lots of little welds like the car repairers do (in a line) keeps the heat, distortion and burning through down.
  4. Looks like quality Barrie. Cheers. That"ll save a few strains.
  5. Ace.Who makes that Barrie?
  6. If you need help writing your ads / flyers PM me.It's my biz.
  7. It's an ancient canadian pioneer or partner - haven't identified it yet. Have measured knackered chain and I make it: 51Drive Links 1.5mm Gauge .404 Pitch ( half gap between 3 rivets = 10.25mm - so I'm thinking .404 - is that right?) Am assuming I can't just use a 3/8" pitch chain without changing the sprocket?? so that's not going to happen. Can't seem to find this chain on the bay - any ideas? Cheers
  8. Show us a full frontal picture in all her glory
  9. That spark plug connector looks like It"ll provide years of sterling service too
  10. Aha cheers billy
  11. Ok.So you must have a very thin clamp or spike or something to get that contact? Cheers Barrie.

    Treehog

Yo Ho Ho and a litre of Type O.Wouldn't start that thing if you paid me. Tree hog? Leg log.
  14. The heat from the bead is doing the job of expanding/popping the bearing? The washer is so you can have something to hit from the other side? So it must be smaller dia than bearing to allow for welding?
  15. This is Garden kit territory but if you've worked out it's part 44 then maybe it's part of the clutching?.This is more moral than technical support.....until the cavalry arrive.
  16. One for Barrie https://youtu.be/oaGpaj2nHIo Well done Barrie
  17. Direct from his site because it was 'cheaper'

  20. 2p worth. I would have thought if crank case was ruptured smoking would be the least of your problems.sure it's not leaking onto the muffler somehow? What oil fuel ratio do you use?
  21. Ripped off. They seem to have changed their name yet again treeandgrass.co.uk or some version of that. Blindstickinsect etc Had my money no delivery no reply. Sickener as I used to use them a lot.
  22. I've got a trusty stihl t27, gedore t25 and facom allen T's - good investment. Have a few Aldi but had a couple of them break.
  23. I'm no expert but wondered if it was drawing air in at the join of carb and engine. Can't picture that set up but easy to test by squirting a bit of wd 40 around the mating surface during running.
  24. Some machines need choke even if they're hot I have an FS200 that's like that
  25. Are the - . fuel tanks venting properly?
