  1. In the beard. Need I say more...
  2. Always wear a watch. I have a nice Tissot one for special occasions (Xmas pressie) but wear cheap ones for work. I tried a £3.99 one from eBay once... The entire face fell out first day. I've currently got a military replica made by Infantry. Probably Japanese made but under £20 so don't mind if it falls out of a tree.
  3. Nice video! Looks like it was pretty windy up there at times with the woodchip flying off in the wrong direction. Forgive me for being 'that guy' but was it not possible to fell into the field behind?
  4. Is that what it's nickname is? Donkey rhubarb?
  5. Got to be a joke, surely. What's there? A ton? Leylandii?
  6. I'm a man and I wear a snood when it's cold. I'm not fussed if someone's ignorant enough to think I look stupip wearing one. I like to be comfortable when I'm working. Why sacrifice that for a macho image?
  7. Working in cold weather...? Snood. All the benefits of a scarf, none of the hassle
  8. Went to cut a lawn for someone the other day only to find there were stripes on the lawn already!
  9. Oooh. I'm getting one as soon as funds allow. Can't wait!
  10. Beautiful dog. Great shame.
  11. Get one of the magnolia while you're at it
  12. Reassuring to know they do what they say on the tin! Glad you're ok. Get back on that horse, as they say.
  13. Noodling! I'll remember that.
  14. If you get a stubborn log, rather than cutting it all up with a saw, try cutting from the bark to the middle of the log (like you would start a cake) to get it going. Easier to put log on its side and cut down. If your saw is sharp you end up with masses of curly birds nest type shavings. Pop them in a bag and leave for a bit under cover. It makes the best kindling!
  15. Are you to do the work on the tree? Maybe a chat with the tree officer. Seems like the the construction/scaffolding company should be talking to the council too.
  16. If I was climbing every day I would tie my own but I don't, so I don't go through friction cord as fast as most people.
  17. I've used ocean poly on xtc plus and it does work well although I 'wasted money' on an OP eye to eye which is too long really (90cm if I remember right). Stein (or similar) 10mm, 75cm eye to eye seems to be perfect length for a knut and works very well although only tried it once the other day. You can save money buying the cord by the metre but you add size to the set up with the fisherman's knots.
  18. I think I'm having an allergic reaction to my watch strap. The skin has gone a bit pale underneath.
  19. You should be a sommelier with a nose like that! Love the smell fresh cut oak. Felled a couple of almond trees the other day. They had a wonderful sweet fruity smell.
  20. I've got the Xperia Go which is pretty tough. Waterproof and dust proof. Smaller than the other Xperia phones I think. Search YouTube for the Go. Although I've not tested out myself, there are vids of people taking photos underwater with it and throwing it around a field.
  21. Had a health and safety test today. They asked me- "on discovering a fire, what steps would you take
