  1. Been wanting to buy a 460 for some time but I've left it too late I think... I'm hoping once a few teething problems are ironed out, the 461 will be just as good.
  2. Think he's got flexible side D's and clipped his main line into one. Don't try it without first getting a second attachment point. I believe most side D's are not rated to be used this way.
  3. If you'd have laid your cards on the table at the start, staying what size the timber was, where it was, maybe asked about legalities of taking FC wood, this forum might have received you a little better and given you some proper advice. Someone might have some timber they want shifting on a job near to you. If you'd brought the guys down a bacon sandwich they might have sawn it up into logs for you.
  4. Looking at photo again it looks as if he is actually tied in from the back.
  5. In pic 2 you can see the guy has a strop attached from his left side. Some harnesses have longer bridges to allow for more rotation
  6. http://m.direct.asda.com/george/mens-trousers/cargo-trousers-navy/G003902186,default,pd.html I'm on my mobile so link is to the mobile site. Hope it works ok. I forgot, these are a £16
  7. If the action man look doesn't suit, navy and khaki are also available. They seem to last a hell of a lot longer than dickies trousers @ £45 a pop...
  8. George @ Asda camo combats! £14.
  9. According to the homeowner, not as much as the space in which to fit a caravan! Out of interest, how long does this tree have?
  10. Reading "swiss army knife" made me shudder! I remember 'helping' my baby teeth come out but only when they were really loose. Thankfully my teeth have been pretty good since then
  11. Score the top with your saw and pop on a bit of sbk or roundup. Drill some holes in the buttress roots and pour/spray a bit in them to make sure.
  12. When you've bought some new gloves! Don't think they like it during a very dry/hot spell. Wait till it warms up a bit to hedge cut the face.
  13. Do you use a cambium saver? Cambium saver or pulley saver combined with stretching before and after climbing. Keeping an eye on body thrusting technique. Switching hands for a few days to rest the first one while resistance builds up. Maybe some things to think about.
  14. Is it just in one arm? I might be stating the obvious but you could try switching hands for a bit.
  15. That is rather impressive! Do you cut it too?
  16. Spot on. Thanks! Bottle brush - what a great name
  17. This is the first one Second one. Trunk and leaf close up.
