  1. Have you got the crankshaft with the replaceable big end? Or solid shaft? Also, where the cylinder fits to the mounts, has it got a larger ring round it Like so! I would offer you the old contra piston, but the saw might explode as it's a domed head Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. Rob, you know as well as I do, we need some gigantic lightweight bars for the 090's Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. What's on your list so far? I may be able to help, a few random parts are not available in uk, as I found out a few times, such as the lower AV mount arm, earthing wire, carb elbow and nameplates?! God only knows why they choose not to sell those random parts Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Go on the husqvarna website and search the manuals Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Do it, what have you got to loose? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Tbh the low screw is probably a bit too lean, try turning it anticlockwise about 1/8 of a turn Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. I'd recommend you try using aspen, mr slack, but you may need to change the carb gaskets and fuel lines Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Dunno bout funny, they're brilliant IMO, such a simple design, but replacing certain parts is a PITA, and they last longer than modern saws. If you need the IPL just delete part of the link, you can get most parts from a stihl dealer, if not, let me know and I'll give you a link Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. As many have said, you can get bargains, I have, but I know what I'm looking for, by the sounds the OP doesn't. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. When a saw comes out you (usually) hear how good it is, that drops away and you hear negatives, does hearing only the negatives make the saw bad? There are forever threads about saws not oiling, this breaking and that, does the bad feedback mean you wouldn't buy a 660 because of the muffler outlet? Nobody would have bought a 346xp as it leaks oil everywhere when sat. Even other saws have common faults, and as for alternatives to those, echo is limited dealer wise, and what stock they carry, dolmar has no dealers! You might not need a warranty repair, but I'd rather buy a machine for more money that if it goes wrong, I can take it back to where I bought it and have them fix it. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. When you say oil pump, I assume you mean the automatic pump? You'll need to split the pump tank and replace the diaphragm but check the impulse line and the bolt to adjust the oil flow. Have fun Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Big saws are fun, you had a go with your 070 yet? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Service manual for the older 2 stroke disc cutters gives compression values 'ideal' compression for a k1250 is a lowly 120psi! With the others only going as high as 150psi Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. 362 had small bar mounts, but is effectively the same saw, I'm after a 362 incidentally, if anyone has one going cheap Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. I know! It's terrible, even spud can't work magic on that Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. All have the same mounts, just the cylinder/piston and carb that differs Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. The old 365 was 65cc, then the special came along (70.7cc), the current x-torq version is also 70.7cc Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Fair enough, the old tillotson carbs are easy to work on Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. On those several threads there are less than 10 people complaining consistently, on those same threads, people who are more than happy with a 550/560 outnumber those 3:1, and with any saw, you run the risk of a Friday saw... And mine was made around the same time as jnoon's and mine is awesome Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. What's an 080 rich? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Partner saws piston: Exhaust side Intake side Cylinder So after the repair it's going on aspen! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. 560xp, it's middle of the road, run 15" or 18" and will do most of the work you get, if you need bigger I know a guy in Shropshire who has a few big old saws for sale Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. 12" bar will fit easily, as will smaller. As for spares and repairs, if it's engine problems, leave it well alone, the big end falls apart when the cylinder is removed Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. It's available all year round, they do an extra hot version, which I eat by the block... which may explain my body shape... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. Nice saw, looks in good nick, parts are a bit of a bugger to obtain though, could you post a photo of the green tag (if it has one still) and the cylinder (without all the covers). I do have a piston, cylinder, cowling, cover, front handle, rear handle, muffler, rear clasp, and much more if you need any parts, as I converted mine to an 090 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
