    660 or 880?

385/390 is lighter than the 650/660, and much more comfortable to use IMO, 395 weighs about the same, whilst the 3120 and 880 are fairly hefty for more than minimal use Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. Well I have some spare parts if you need, it's mostly handle parts And eggs, I'll be dead before I'm in a home Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. I won't go in a home, I'll live in my own house until the bitter end! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. If I was you, I'd look into getting AV handles, the normal handles will shake your hands apart! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Oh I know, at the current rate, I'll be doing this till I'm 150 before I get a pension Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Old buggers! Looks like it'll just be me and you soon rich, the rest are due for retirement! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. There is a 3/8 8t small spline available niko, may be worth a look for you Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. If you need a BIG saw Martin, just buy an 090 cylinder for your 070, and have spud port that nothing would beat you then! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. No, unless you're a member of NASOR or NROSO, which require you to refresh every few years Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. New x-torq? It's been about for years! In fact, I would go as far as mid 2000's! The strato engines made by husky have been proven and tested many times over, it's only stihl that struggles with them, but that's because husky owns the patent, they leased the idea out to stihl but 'forgot' to include engine timing. 11. The thing with stihl is they keep manufacturing parts for long obsolete saws, the 020AVEQ still has a 90% parts availability in the uk, as does the 090, 051/076, even the 009, 041G and much more! So even when the 202T arrives, the 200T parts will still be available, I managed to obtain a new 051R mount rubber, despite the wrap handle being obsolete since 1980. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  13. Yeah, you NEED one, lovely saws, just like the stihl 1106 range! That's mine Wrap handles and outer dog Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Could you post a link to this thread? Because if you're referring to the 'which ground saw' thread, I suggest you re-read it! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. You know the stupidity of half the people on here amazes me! SEXISM - discrimination against a gender DISCRIMINATION - using a perceived weakness against someone, be it sex, sexual orientation, skin colour, age, religious beliefs, etc Somebody explain how it's sexist? Does it imply that as she's a woman she can't use a chainsaw? Sexual exploitation is a more accurate description, as it's managed to get everyone talking about naked women and sugihara bars. 880

AND has a manual oiler! The most important difference... And dual port mufflers are available for it. Oh and most parts are still available from stihl Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Nice one, looks smart Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. This is correct on the new carbs, they also have a slightly different cylinder and no crank stuffers Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. Even if he switches to aspen (highly recommended), he still needs to do/have done the work I previously mentioned Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Yes, the vibes on the 090 are lethal, the AV handles takes a lot away, but I still wouldn't mind having the 10-cube, I would force myself to run it for a day! They have pretty impressive porting too from what I've seen, looks like an ants nest ground into the cylinder wall Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. No, as I said, fuel related, I assume you leave it sat with fuel. It probably needs a carb kit, carb cleaning, fuel lines and filter, carb retune. I can't remember if that carb has a pump piston, but I doubt. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. Take it to a service dealer, sounds like fuel starvation! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. Couldn't see the decomp from that pic to realise it was one of the 10-cubes, I assume this is one of the 3 known ones? I'd love to stumble across one of them, pity they're so rare! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. Yes, I only count on here, mostly for keeping tabs on what I need, and so on. Although I may have less if my 051 doesn't start working... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. 3 is nothing, I have 9! And in a few weeks I'm getting 3 more Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
