    Slang!

Scrumpy, cizzer - cider made in the traditional home-brewed method... Also referred to as gut-rot, badger piss or paint stripper. Especially if it's off Mr plogs Sareen - I can only assume that whoever typed that meant serene (chainsaws don't require the full grasp of the british language). Sarnie - sandwich, also refers to batches, baps, cobs and any other savoury bread food. Pants - underwear, also used for describing something that doesn't perform well 'the Stihl ms261 is pants' Trousers - what you Americans call pants. Over here we're required to wear chainsaw protection when on a job site. Barrel - cylinder, also referred to as a pot, eg, pot and piston. Pom - Australian slang for British, equivalent of Limey, which is American slang for British. Yank - American Isotonic - a drink that supposedly, contains electrolytes, which are apparently necessary in sports hydration. Jock - Scottish person (not a sports person, that's the American version) Fag - cigarette Faggot - a food made of offal Jon, plogs, mediplogs - a member on here, genuine guy, has the computer skills of a moose, requires translation for the first 6 months of reading his posts! Crosscutting - bucking Lid - helmet Owt - anything (just to confuse you with nowt) Also note that each area has different slang and accents, and at a later point, you will need MUCH more translation

So what if they do say it's due to user error? 'Fuel mix' means everything from the petrol or oil to the point of leaving the carb. Assuming the plug colour is correct, you then need to narrow down the reasons for a seize.

Have you checked the coil-flywheel gap? It should be about a business card space between. But no spark is no spark, sounds like your coil is dying!
  7. As I said, try swapping the air filters over, I'm curious to see if it makes a difference
  8. I generally say all machines, having fixed saws where the decomp has failed, it generally ruins the cylinder past recovery. Although if you need it on the other machines (brushcutters) then that machine is too big for you! I use the wussy button on 2 saws, the 385xp (because the starter has broke and I'm not buying a new one) and the 090 (because I was cheap and didn't use a gasket, and wanted more power) I did try a decomp on my 051 but it killed it...
  9. It can't be remapped, the function is simple anyway, saw sets revs at max with WOT, and under load tries to get 8-12k rpm, and sets to idle when no throttle. All you would need for setting on to the other is the coil and software. But I assume you know that already as a dealer.
  10. I believe so, but the easier and cheaper option is don't press it
  11. It's not the blue, side mounted one, you can pull those out! It's the top mounted ones like on the 560, that once pressed, drops down below where you can grab, even with pliers!
  12. In a nutshell, no!
  13. +1, although I'd do away with the ms181, the Stihl choice you want to match the other 2 is either the ms211 or ms231, but Stihl gets very expensive very quickly. Secondly, if your chain has lasted that long, use aspen fuel. It may seem expensive, but it'll be cheaper than mixing fresh fuel every time or having a rebuild on the saw
  14. So I need this for fencing now? Does this mean I've been doing it wrong? Oh god, I just checked the nptc website, there's a ticket for a blower! Who seriously would need training to use that?!
  15. But if you have your IPAF ticket, there's nothing to stop you using it in a MEWP
  16. What? The ONLY difference is the bar mounts, oil pump, clutch cover, air filter and a slightly longer crank due to the oil pump. The clutch is the same (standard size, not the small that comes as stock). There is no more power or any difference in carb or cylinder. The only thing that could possibly give power increase would be the larger air filter allowing more air in, everything else on the 562 works against the saws performance! Try switching the filter and covers over to see if the 560 gains anything.
  17. If it's refusing to start, first question is have you pushed the decomp button? If you have, you'll need to remove the cover to get at the button to pull it back up. It's bloody hard to start if you push it! In fact, to get it to pop up, you need to pull the engine over above 600rpm! Repeated use of the button also cokes up the valve, meaning it doesn't seal and will cause the engine to seize.
  18. I can't find any other option of chain catcher on any IPL's for the 1124 series saws. Although the 084 has a heated option! God knows why Stihl stopped making that saw, it's superior to the 088/880!
  19. Matty part number 1124 664 0506 You need to order 2
  20. Yeah, I found it after, shared it a few times too
  21. Yeah, I've signed it, also shared it all over facebook

    Dolmar

Yes, any of the semi-synthetic jaso fd oils are the type you need, so XP, hp super, and what ever makita/dolmar call theirs.
  23. Barrie, whack this up on your facebook page please
  24. You can smoke mobiles?! Bonus!
  25. It's usually no work or fell it!
