  1. Looking like Santander is winning. Asked a subby today and he uses them with only a £7.50 monthly charge. Looks like Natwest needs avoiding!
  2. Mine are in the fridge now nestled between the super strong cheddar and cider.
  3. I called Superwinch for some info on my second hand PTO winch last week, gave them the serial number and they said " ah yes that was supplied to the Midlands water board at a cost of £5500 supply and fit" so even a winch can add good wack.
  4. It would cost a little but they do sell it in rattle cans now i believe, chaps on the landie forums found it easy and quick to use
  5. Or do it yourself with a small compressor. The chap who owned my transit loved the stuff, knocking on for 20 years old and no rust at all hence me keeping it.
  6. I just need a simple account, dont need to call them, speak to them etc Lookin at the break down £30 was for Paid Referral fee, guessing over limit (no overdraft remeber? 35p per electronic payment (lots) 90p £100 for cash payment 65p per cheque payment It was a very busy month but still, add this up over a year, its going to be a hell of a lot. Will call round on Tuesday for some other prices.
  7. TBH im going to tell barlcays im leaving and hopefuly they will give me another free year. Yes seems its a min of £7.50 per month for cash input, didnt read the small regarding BACS or Cheque Edit - and i dont even have an overdraft!!!!
  8. Hmm It may seem so. I have to give them a call and see what the score is.
  9. This one - Business Current Account - Santander UK ?
  10. So my year of free banking with barclays ended a month or so ago and got a letter today outlining my fees from now on.... Just over a hundred quid in charges! For a month... Now... Is it better, in the short term, to switch to another bank who would offer the same 1 or 2 year free business banking to save on these fees? Or would that make an effect in the future as far as getting finance / loans etc on the basis of "Time with current bank". Is this just something I will have to live with? Its a limited company by the way and my accountant is away until late next week so thought id get some feedback here in the mean time.
  11. How long has it been setup? Might be worth getting a test kit and monitoring the water parameters before adding anymore stock
  12. Thats a big pond, how big were they? Guessing tosai (up to a year), in which case its going to be hard to spot them even in clear water with a pond (lake?) that size.
  13. Often wondered if you could get away with just having a tracked chipper but always thought the same as mentioned above. Does sound a handy setup, got a photo to hand for reference?
  14. Looks a real simple system, I like it. Another plus is that I have all the bits minus a 16mm grab laying around. Excellent blog by the way
  15. Any info on the mechanical advantage devices? I buying it simply for one job with large timber and tight drop. I use a smaller device curretly. Is it worth getting the extra £60 pulley and prussic setup or are there any other ideas to had some advantage? Thanks:thumbup1:
  16. Thats a good point, thanks it didnt cross my mind. Best price I found was £312 from forestandarb.com or Jones for about £316 (inc vat)
  17. Was just searching online for the best price on the Stein RC3001 and saw the Tree Runner P3000 on honey bros. Anyone used one? P3000 - £322 https://honeybros.com/index.php?app=ecom&ns=prodshow&ref=Tree_Runner_P3000&changevat=INCL RC3001 - £316 RC3001 single bollard lowering device | F R Jones and Son Specs look to be the same.
  18. Spotted this - Land Rover Defender | eBay Looks pretty mean.
  19. Yep HS81R ( R for rough cut)
  20. Caved in tonight, bit of a nip in the air so stuck a few bits of Scot's on from a fell last year. Meter said 9%.... went up like paper!
  21. Well, looking to sell my 150 early next year so its an option. Was playing chipper Top Trumps today in the van, really is neck and neck between it and the Forst when you weigh up prices, warranties, +e needed etc etc
  22. Not much good me telling you now as I has to give it back today
  23. Its takes brash very well. Been using it today on multiple jobs, at least 8 different species (all hardwood). Done a back to back comparison with an ST6 and its a tough call.
  24. Speak to them on live chat via a laptop or PC, very helpful in my experience
  25. I have the new machine sat on my drive as i type. After a good look around it tonight i can say im very much looking forward to using it tomorrow. From the outset the hopper is huge, paddle buttons mounted on both sides of hopper along with hopper mounted throttle lever. The springs on the infeed box are massive in comparison to the 150DBH. Large angle slope to the rollers also. 4 pot Kubota lump, believe same as fitted to the ST6, biggest they could fit I was told. Anvil and blades are got to in less than a min, no more torx bolts to clean up before trying to remove them instead its a hefty 22+mm bolt on the back of the flywheel. Chassis is oversized box section and looks to be to have a longer draw than the 150 had. Same infeed motors as before, not sure on the pump yet as haven't had the casing off. LED lighting and i think the finished product will have quick clip plate mounts. I was asked not to post any pictures until the release day, as much as i want to. Will report back tomorrow after its had a good workout.
