  9. Silky Hayauchi high pruning saw 6.3m | F R Jones and Son I can highly recommend this pole saw. The lopper attachment is great as well. thought it was a bit pricey when I was selecting a saw but has been well worth it. Have had it for a few years now just gets a wee skoosh of wd40 now and then. Nice solid feel. Quality product.

  13. Breakfast: trim flakes, honey and full fat milk. Pack lunch: 2 litres sugar free Irn Bru and couple of pieces in ham and lettuce. Packet of crisps and bar of chocolate. Same every day. found the honey is good in the morning.
  14. For the past few years i've found this helpful in planning my hours throughout the year. East Kilbride, United Kingdom - Sunrise, sunset, dawn and dusk times for the whole year - Gaisma That's the most local one to me but you can set it for anywhere in the world. I make a copy of the chart and stick it next to my calender. Gives me a rough idea of what can be realistically done in a day/week. I gradually decrease my working day in the autumn. In mid winter I work 4 days as i've accrued enough holidays from playing out late in the summer months.
  15. Thanks Petemate. I'm happy that it's now usable. I hate having tools lying about that i can't use. So your saying there is still a chance. hmmmmm.
  16. Thanks for the information. I've replaced the piston and put the plastic inserts back in. Saw is working fine. Modifications will just have to wait.
  17. It is a well laid out book. Gave it a good go for a couple of weeks last year until my back called it a day(Not through the training). I'm going to give it another shot now that i'll be going on to winter hours and that i've found the book! (Cheers had a good rummage to see if it was the same book) Having a programme and a way of measuring improvements is the way to go. You will soon be doing press ups with your pinkies.

Yup you've hit the jackpot there. This is one of my most important bits of kit. I use it in blower mode for most of the year. Have found the vac good for quickly clearing fire escapes and awkward corners where the leaves end up down the back of your neck if you use the blower. Also good for sucking up raffle tickets and rubbish at our annual fete. And good to quickly drop the temperature in my polytunnel in emergencies. Its bloomin versatile !!! Have only had to replace the fins and blade once in three years and replace a wire on the ignition. Just wear waterproof trousers if your sucking up wet leaves or you'll like like you've had an accident.
  19. Yup, that's a belter And a lovely blue sky as well ! Just the one coat of linseed oil?

  21. Stripped my little Husky 240 down as piston needs replaced. The cylinder has these plastic transfer inserts. I've never seen these before and my first thoughts were to remove them, modify them. The exhaust and inlet ports have a little room for improvement as well. muffler mod also looks a dead cert as it sits on its own at the moment winking at me Any advice/information would great thanks. This is now my dedicated carving saw so having it run a bit cooler would be advantageous.
  22. Take it your carving the bird on the handys
  23. Was a last minute decision to go or i would have taken a big golf sale sign with me and synchronised watches. Left at 5:30 am. Was up there for 9:30 and left just before the auction started. Back home at 8 :30. Long day but picked up a few tips and tricks and would probably have bugged me for another year if I hadn't have went. Was happy to see Jonny Stableford win 3rd as he trained me for my CS30. Loves his Stihl gear!!!!!! Question for Roni if you please: I noticed all that Aspen 2 stroke sitting. Do all the competitors get that free? Do all the competitors use it?
  24. Watched you carving the lobster. Looked like you were all having fun. It was great that the weather held. You all looked a little squashed together in the quick carve. Made me a little nervous a couple of times being an elf an safety kind of a gnome.
