  1. Can't make out who makes it but there is one in this video being used single handed. [ame] [/ame]
  2. As above. Been asked if I could send some of ours but that seems nuts as there must be some local charcoal producers. Thanks
  3. No one glue is great for everything but West Epoxy is the most versatile IMO. Snag is it's expensive and needs lots of additives for specific jobs. PVA is hard to beat for wood but need close fitting joint. Cascamite for wood if you need gap filling properties. PU like Gorilla will stick wood and other porous materials. Also can handle wood that is not entirely dry which PVA and Epoxy don't like Aralidite or similar epoxy for little jobs if ultimate strength is not required. Gap filling for wood and sticks metals and other non flexible materials. Super glue for some plastics but never found it great for anything apart for sticky you skin together (think it was designed for this) but it is handy for quick jobs.
  4. Yes totally normal. I run a firewood processor and I work by the oil tank which is at 65C. Get through 5-6 litres of water in hot weather and probably 3-4 when it's cool.
  5. Yep thats what we do.
  6. Arborisk here. Easy to deal with but not had a claim yet.
  7. Yet there are lots of Christians left in this world Think your plan is floored. Only just heard about this attack. Bloody awful but cant see how this type of attack could be stopped.
  8. Our Ifor 10x5 holds 2m3 if slightly mounded. Presuming your trailer has similar hight sides yours would hold 1.28 m3 so retail at £4687 if selling at your higher price. £1187 for storing, loading and delivering 39 loads equals £30 per load. Not exactly a fortune to be made there.
  9. Think I read somewhere that WBP is no longer a recognised standard so quality can be variable. WBP was water boil proof but this just referred to glue used. Marine meant glues as above but also rot resistant woods as well. Think it's all in BS standards.
  10. Yep Phenolic is the usual stuff for trailer floors but think it's just birch with a plastic coating. All the birch ply I have used is streets ahead of the usual WBP available at builders merchants but that is reflected in the price. You can still get quality WBP from more specialist ply suppliers. Just realised where you are Cornish so try New World Timbers in Exeter as I think they deliver throughout the SW http://www.newworldtimber.com/products/
  11. Think it must be a regional thing. Only once had a magnetic business card and that was for computer repairs and it lives stuck to the computer so it works. OP if it's a novelty in your area it may well work. If everyone dolls them out probably not. I have 70 none magnetic in a tray to one magnetic.
  12. Thanks Alec The charge chamber is a 200l barrel. Not had any problems with 2 hour burns and had lots of compliments on our charcoal. Only been using small wood from the branch logger and not yet tried it with larger stock so sounds like I best do some tests with that. Timbernut Yep branch loggings make great charcoal and use material that might otherwise get wasted
  13. Nice picture Paul Don't think it's been that bad down here either. We had a lovely period in May/June when the south west was the only part of country having good weather and it's been T shirt weather for months apart from the odd rainy day. 136mm of rain in the last 30days according to my rain gauge which seems pretty normal. Admittedly there have not been many completely dry days but the locals have successful made hay. Come on TCD cheer up it's not that bad unless you are wanting long hot summers like we had in the 70s and 80s
  14. Your on the right lines now Rich but would need appropriate number of charge chambers if planing multiple burns.
  15. Hmm working on that but would guess at £200-£300. Only at the idea stage but know it will make charcoal just working on something very simple so it can be cheap. Richy. Yes I see it as hobby thing but could make some pocket money with it. At 5 burns a day thats 70 kg of charcoal
  16. That's rough Stubby Hope the police get the ------ or karma does
  17. Got an idea for one that would make 100 litres per burn but with a spare pair of hands could do five burns a day. Can't see pros doing such small quantities but seems to be lots of folk who buy small woodlands and want to try their hand woodland crafts. Any thoughts? Beau
  18. There is a Farmi on Arbtrader at the moment. I may well be bias but IMO it's the most versatile processor on the market and incredibly quick with smaller wood. Worth asking Riko if they have any trade ins coming up.
  19. Good luck with getting info out of Jap P Wilson. Was in the market for a big splitter a few years back but they were hopeless at getting back to me so bought elsewhere.
  20. I know what you mean Steve but don't think many of the wild predictions come from metrological organisations. What the press make up to sell papers is another matter. Not going to bet my house on this prediction but I will give it a bit more credence than the garbage Nathan Rao posts in the National Express Lazurus what you on about "with Lets have a summer first!" ? We had 3 days in a row without rain the other week and saw the sun. It doesn't get better than that

  22. Think in that size you are spoilt for choice. I went for the Krpan 17 tonne with winch. More than enough power for anything I have put under its blade. There are a series of videos but sadly all in German but you may be able to glean some good info from them. The winch in fantastic for the price Here a few of them but think there are more in the test. [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame]
  23. Yes got a pack with the roll of chain.
  24. Ah OK. I make up chains but thought there might be different types tie straps.
  25. Out of interest what's a pre set tie strap?
