  1. The idea is to have this on our website so all information will be on the site. Maybe should have something on it though if people find by browsing youtube etc Thanks for all the comments so far. Will pass on your compliments to Simon who made it. He has just started out making short films professionally and looks like his style pleases many.
  2. Yes shame it comes over like that. Stupid thing is I want to leave far more trees but the grant we get for the hedge restoration wants almost all the trees felled. Allowed something like one standard per 100m. Leaving a fair few more on the lower section in the hope they don't come and check. Don't worry they all get planted up if need be and we lay hedges that are suitable. Did film some of this but not a great example so guess he thought best not in the edit. Yes buy lots of cord now but don't do any woodland work so can't film any thinning.
  3. Yes looks like we need to redo the talking bit. Does look like we are cutting large amounts from the hedge but it's bit of a fudge as loaded the trailer with bought in and then put the fresh felled on top.
  4. No not all Steve. The longer lengths 10-12" and the 12-16" ones are pretty easy to stack and all the shorter sizes get bunged into crates but still have nearly 100 cube in the sheds.
  5. This is why I ask on here. Well spotted guys had completely overlooked those aspects. Frankly was bit thrown when he asked me to talk about what we do was just planning on some text over the top.
  6. Hi all Had a friend making a short video to promote our logs. Just been sent the first edit so plenty of time to change things so what do you think? Type in logs [ame]https://vimeo.com/156089896[/ame]
  7. Now that sounds slick Presuming the wheelie bins survive being tipped over?
  8. Thanks TCD What's the significance of the avatar? Make tents don't they, off on hols
  9. Trawling the net now for something along those lines. Any good second hand Toyota dealers down here?
  10. So is a 98 model pre DPFs. Not found it easy to work out when all this stuff got fitted to models as some brands seem to do it at the last minuet and other years in advance of the regulations.
  11. Yep delivered up there before when I was using a trailer Not pretty You're probably right Matt, just so annoyed with the truck and it's DPF issue. Maybe I should get an old Hilux pre all this DPF male cow dung but considering other options first. If a van was cheap could put the old 90 back on the road for when I do need a 4x4
  12. Too specialist as this will more or less my only vehicle and I do other things than logs.
  13. Chains lasting days or even weeks?
  14. No been down the trailer rout before. Our lanes and driveways are so narrow around here best to have as small a truck or van as possible. Even the pickup is a bit tight some of the places I go.
  15. Just considering alternative vehicles for deliveries. Running a pickup at present. It guzzles fuel and leaves the logs exposed to the elements which have not been kind this year. All our logs get handballed into the truck so being able to tip in makes no odds. Just wondering about a Connect or Dispatch panel van with a load handler on the floor. Any other alternative solutions considered. Thanks
  16. Unless it's knackered I wouldn't give it away. Most Wadkin kit is the dogs danglies and still commands fair money on Ebay
  17. Popped in there for some this morning. "sorry sir but we don't have any in stock just some for a customer" guess who's the were Good choice of glove TCD
  18. £3 is what we charged but not many takers. Still got a few hundred left which will probably have to burn ourselves. Sold our TR70
  19. Not tried one but will speculate. From my furniture making days TCT was very brittle in comparison with HSS or tool steel. To compensate for this the sharpening angles were coarser to support the tip. This left you with a blade that would hold a less sharp edge for a long long time. On a processor I imagine the kerf of your TCT circular saw blade is appreciably less than a chain on a processor so what it might lack in sharpness it can make up for in brute force. Also you could use a less sharp TCT chain but this would result in heavy bar ware which is not an issue with a circular saw blade. Quite happy to change the chain on our processor once or twice a day as it gives me a break and doesn't take more than few minutes.
  20. Sounds like a nightmare TCD. Hope the weather improves for you soon
  21. You sure it's not your sharpening? Only ever do our by hand and never had problems but processors seem more fussy than saws. It's critical you keep the tooth length the same on both sides.
  22. Coldish and DRY yes I said DRY. Can't remember the last time we had 24 hours without rain. Still we are in the depths of winter the wind is coming from the north and we have not even got an air frost. This climate change/global warming is not messing around. + 0.4C is crazy warm for this weather setup.
  23. Lamborghini R1.55 and yes it's 4WD
  24. Cheers everyone I will seek some work on a flattish site to start with and see how it goes. May not be any work out there anyway
  25. That's good so it could be done. Thanks
