  1. Its a crown Gall, a benign growth caused by bacteria. Its That would look nice with the bark stripped off and polished up. Might need to season it first though .
  2. Are the wounds not open to fungal infection for up to 2 yrs? If so then perhaps not so important . The thinking on this may have changed now as this info was dredged from the vaults of my aging temporal lobes.

  10. The bleeding will stop some soon I expect, I don't know when. The roots are transporting water and the leaves are photosynthesising so don't worry about the bleeding. I would not seal the wounds with wax. The wounds will callus in time.
  11. The bleed is not a problem and the tree should recover from the wounds, however I personally would be looking to apply a non invasive form of control should the problem happen again
  12. All contractors should do this. Mrs Miggins might blow things out of proportion and say someone is cutting the tree down, and the TO makes an unnecessary mad dash to the site.
  13. I would say magnesium deficiency, not uncommon on cherries, infact I saw one yesterday

  15. Have a couple of beers to calm the nerves before the speech, but don't get pissed. It doesn't have to be a long speech if you cant manage it, just see how I goes.
  16. Stranglers classic- much loved by fans
  17. I love slow blues - love jamming to it. The first gig I did playing guitar was at a wedding
  18. Glad you got PTI m8. BTI - Its not worth the risk for Insurance companies and the insured. You know what its like in this industry, you know a few things but you think you know more than you actually do know, PTI is great because it tailored to combine quite a high knowledge academically with a number of years hand on experience in in the field.
