  2. If your only paying yourself does that mean your climbing alone. Surely £70 is not worth that risk???
  3. 'Is the wall there to keep it structurally sound? and if i remember correctly between the wall and the tree there is expanding foam (Might be wrong)' Last time I was there and looking at it the currator walked past and basically said that they started to build a supporting structure out of bricks and halfway through decided they might as well make it into a feature that will be permanent.
  4. I would think that Mr Humphries should be along shortly to give some good advice.

  11. Evening all, I am running the Edinburgh Marathon on the 27th of this month. It will be my 6th marathon and at the moment am not running for any charity simply because its not long since I ran my last one and have only just finished collecting money for it. Having said that,I have not been a member on here long but have seen a couple of threads where people have donated to fellow arbs that have had an accident whether they are a member of Arbtalk or not. Its a tuff old slog for a lump like myself and am hoping to beat my previous time of 3hrs 38mins which was Amsterdam last year, was wondering what your thoughts were on starting a fund that can be added to by other fund raising events from members on here to help people out. What goes arond comes around and all that. Any thoughts welcome
  12. Does'nt surprise me to be honest, ordered a few times from Jones's, phoned up for advise once before placing an order and they stopped me spending a few quid more than I had to. If only every supplier was the same.

  15. Reminds me of when I was in Thailand last, did a 60m crane bungee, then they attached a harness and anchored me to the ground while the crain fully extended , with the bungee line at full stretch I was released, only did it once.
  16. I agree with the above, I presume its only the two trees in question that are on your clients property, unless there are other reasons that are not visable from the photos that call for reductions you need to get a contractor to discuss with client reasons for work and what may be done taking into account future management of regrowth.
  17. I'll go first then. Nothings better than a land rover off road!
  18. I couldnt help but hold my own leg when he was trying to lift his shattered one over the branch.
