  1. Sorry Rupe but have to disagree, when I'm sweating my t..s off and find myself getting confused and clumsy I've gone past being thirsty and I would call it mild dehrdration. I'm losing more fluids than I'm consuming. So I suppose you could call it life and death decisions your clumsily making when wielding a chainsaw up a tree. I have a lot of experience of exercise and correct hydration and little and often is the best way, hence the camelback idea as I dont like stopping the whole operation to pull another bottle up. Anyway, cheers for your input and glad this thread has relieved some of your boredom. Warren
  2. Good advise Paul, I do try and make that a habit but on those hot days I can feel myself getting clumsy very quickly through dehydration so a constant top-up is in order I think.
  3. You and your drink jacket! Dont you think it would warm quickly and end up being a very thick extra layer. And I dont want to see a tubed hydrating 13mm climbing rope in Jones's 'things you didnt know you needed' list anytime soon Hillbilly! Its my idea to take to the dragons den. Rob, you've sold it to me. Will make a purchase.
  4. Cheers Rob, the fact that you can have little and often is what would work best for me, its how I do it when running marathons and I sweat alot more working with them trousers on. Think I'll give it a bash. I'd use it on the bike if I didnt get on with it. W
  5. Keep it to yourself but how about a rope with a tube insert, this time next year rodney we'll be millionaires!
  6. Yes, was thinking that a decent capacity camelback would be pretty heavy and increase the sweatage! Might just use an extra strong hose pipe as a climbing line and all my groundie has to do is turn on the tap below. Sorted!
  7. Thats what I normally do but was thinkin of the benefit of a constant flow rather than stopping every half hour
  8. Looking forward to the hot days that might appear this summer but one thing I do struggle with is getting enough fluids when climbing for maybe a whole morning or afternoon. Being a sweater, a water bottle attached to my harness is gone in minutes so was wondering if anyone has worn or wears a camelback. Does it get in the way too much, shoulder straps uncomfortable or interfere with your harness? Your thoughts or experiences welcomed Warren
  9. Good for you Treemoose will do the same and see if I get lucky. Thanks David for the link, will keep an eye out for the future.
  10. Where can I find details about this David?
  11. I suppose in the end its down to you what you think your worth, if your happy with £200 and the gaining of experience go for it. Thats if he pays the £200!
  12. With the qualifications, experience and cost of insurance needed to do acurate surveys I would say £100 is a bit low.

  14. I think we need photographic evidence of that!
  15. Had Justin working with me for a few days on a job felling some tall thuja's. Lots to drag but just got on with it. Clearly interested in getting into arb so if anybody needs a hand around west Kent, you could do alot worse.
