  4. a pal of mine is looking for so new boots the only trouble is he is a size 14 doea anyone know of any chainsaw wellies ideally that go up to that size as i can't find any or shalli just do a bit of home surgery tomake him fit in a set of 12's
  5. wish i'd taken a photo of my combo pulling a 14' ifor with a metal sledge i'd had made up with my quad bike strapped to the top of it, looked so dodgy can't believe i didn't get a tug on the A11 think i got overtaken by 3 lots of traffic cops....reckon they were distracted by the thatcher in front of my with his trailer that was about 12' high with sedge

  8. this is what i use out on the sunny broads SuperTack Bio Chainsaw Oil (25 Litres) | Clark Forest we get it from our local shop at acle, i was using rape oil before that but found that combined with peat it made a black gunky mess that cooked saws, this isnt quite as bad but i still have to clean up my saws once a week to de-gunk them
  9. Tried it was utter crap, it was only any good neat or mixed with veg oil oh and it ate my oil pump i think too
  10. 3 bed terrace, i put a 5kW stovax in 4 years ago and dispite baking bread for my lovely lady every week and bathing insteadof showering i still don't seem to be able to break the £300 barrier on the gas, just put some solar panels on too they've just made me over £700 this year:thumbup:
  11. getting on for 1m3 in a 5kW Stovax only really have it running thru the evenings/weekends tho
  12. one of the nature reserves i work for got one last year they seem well happy with it but is mainly used for topping etc so dunno how it'll fair in the woods another mob got the goldini version of it which wasn't a patch on their 1980's holder
  13. i got told that our 2nd 261 lasted 4 weeks before it needed a complete clutch and driveshaft

  15. just given up with mine, its had 3 clutches and a full internal rebuild, just got a 560 cracking saw my only worry is i gotta see how waterproof the auto tune is when i drop it in a dyke at work
  16. got 1 best bit of kit i've bought just used it to haul a big ash tree across a lake and out the other side (with a bit of persuasion from snatch blocks poles and the like) but it would shift what my t516 tifor wouldn't

  20. only been using my 560 a week but i love it, just chucked an 18" on it to drop a few bigish alders on't marsh and it chewed thru them so quick it was funny my mate's month old 261 running a 15 was snail paced in comparison
  21. don't use one in a marsh it'll eat clutches other than that probably ok but i have massive issues with both of mine:thumbdown:
