  8. don't get a 261 whatever you do i've got 2, 1 is about 2 months old and has spend about a month back in the shop on warranty repairs, the other is 2 years old and after the warranty repairs it had runs okish but has just started bogging out in full bar width cuts....maybe a 362 mite be ok

  11. had 2 261's both been a massive pile of arse but to be fair they have both been sorted out under warranty but they hate peat, so gonna try moving the other way....now anybody got a 346 they wanna swop for a 550???
  12. don't fly ryanair i was gonna take mine out to finland last summer called and asked they wanted some asshole fee as it was hazardous blah blah, reckon i'd of been ok if i'd not told them but didn't risk it so stuggled on with the clearing saws we were provided with no fun on 8" - 10" thinning work
  13. i use a 20 % solution of glyphosate, reckon on a 90+% kill rate, that's on willow scrub in a bog.
  14. love my portable winch use it to drag around 3 x 3 metre fire trays on bogs in the broads so should p*ss a few logs, the only advige i have is don't drop it in water whilst running, they don't like that....new engine job

  20. Have been waving the chainsaws (MS 200 and 261) around in a reed bed until i hit a tree, the last week or so and both my saws stop button isn't working, having to choke them to stop them is very tedious i can't see any obvious holes in the wire or loose connections but reckon i must have pulled something out but just can't fathom it out
  21. Nofolk County Council are doing 28% grants towards anything to help you reduce your carbon footprint ie a new chainsaw with lower emissions or an electric outboard for your boat or a new truck that is more fuel efficient be creative they've got 6 months left to spend the cash the scheme is called rev active REV ACTIVE - Home i spoke to laura and got a few new toys to play with:thumbup:

  24. Just got some new toys to replace those half inched a little while ago new FS410 brushcutter with a silly choke, i though well it's a bit odd but that'll be fine, took it out to drop a few trees in a reed bed about an hour into the job though that's funny wheres my choke knob, went to the dealer got a new one fitted it took it back out to work and 2 days later it drops off again, and don't get me started on my new 'there is no problem with this' MS 261 just as shoddy as my old one 2 weeks work, 1 broken clutch spring one shagged needle bearing and a very worn cir-clip mental note buy a husky next time....
