  1. it looks safe enough but i would not like the repair bill from them trying to get in also there are much bigger versions of simillar locks like this...they are even harder to break, you see them on the back of some delivery vans... its like a huge metal plate that surrounds a big round padlock, they are also very secure and can be fitted to sliding doors too i just cant seem to find them right now but will keep eyes open.. chris i'd done a search but noy found these think i may be sold they'd better be good at £200 each tho...
  2. I'll send my work mate round to test it for me:thumbup:
  3. i'm moving from a site in north norfolk to a site in south norfolk and i live in a small terraced house in norwich so in terms of efficiency it is better for me to pack up from one site and then come home and be able to go to the next site in the morning
  4. i did think that about those locks, a van vault would be excellent but i quite often have to keep my reed cutting machine in the van overnight so wanted to be able to secure the whole van not just a space for saws and can't lose that much floor space either
  5. i've got a 450 honda trx450 bought it for 3k 7 years ago think in all that time its had 1 carb clean 1 new set of filters and a new rectifier when i sank it up to the seat in a marsh it still runs well despite my lack of tlc and abuse it gets put thru out when i'm cutting reed i've been looking for another one of late can recommend david jones in newtown they'll post yr quad to wherever and have good aftersales support posted us parts out same day when we had teething problems
  6. Having had my van broken into for the 3rd time i was gonna get some better locks fitted as i figure my van is marked as worth a try have any of you guy fitted secondary locks to your trucks and if so what? i was looking at these but didn't know if they'd be much better than the tissue paper my van is currently locked with.... Van Security Locks For Vans and Light Commercial Vehicles
  7. what's the clean up like with one of the airecut's as most of my jobs are cut into windrows and then burn so i like to make a nice neat row for easy forking, but i really get annoyed with clogging up in thick sedges its if i wanna spend $60 kiwi bucks on it...oh hang on that's a bag of chips eh?
  8. my chainbrake on my 346 seems to apply at random any ideas?

  15. i've just got me a scot track glencoe... seems a pretty good machine for towing my fires about the marsh, however it seems to have got a hydraulic leak does any one know anything about these machines ie common faults, limitations etc as i'm feeling a bit clue less about it, i'd post some photos but i must be the only person in the country who refuses to get a smart phone
  16. i'll give that a go did wonder about that but sadly no decent sized lumps of wood on this job....pesky little sallows...
  17. ok so i was a fool i threw my saw in the shed at the end of the last cutting season with some fuel in the tank, i've now emptied that fuel out and been working but the saw won't idle, could i have gummed up my carb with manky nasty fuel or will it dissolve all the crap out with a few tank thru it, when it's started it fine as long as i have the throttle wide open but as soon as i leave it to spin down and try to get going again it'll bog out......i'm rambling
  18. he's taken down the listing no fair i'd got a couple of bits of wet willow scrub he could of done in norfolk

  22. a very wet nature reserve i work on has bought about 400m of euromats but they got a stonking reduction and it still came to over 10k, they'll take my fergie over a fen towing a trailer load of reed or if you can get hold of the metal belts from pea harvesters they are good for a 7.5 tonne over a very manicured village staithe
  23. had 2 they both sucked balls spent more time on the bench than in the wood
