  1. First saw of my own was a Jonsered 70E I think ? Anyway it was a bitch to start and got binned for a Stihl 038 Mag , it was good but heavy .
  2. Looks great , might do a similar mod on my old L200
  3. 254 then 365 special and 281 for the bigger stuff .
  4. Tried Skin So Soft for midges , didn't work !!
  5. Worst day for ages here , never let up from morning till now , soaked to the ar#e and fed up . I feel a drink coming on .
  6. I had this with mine , air filter looked fine but was u/s , try it with the filter out .
  7. We have the same problem , 661 skeleton spikes look good and I've been told they fit .
  8. We scrapped two 261's due to this probem , wouldn't put my hard earned cash out on one again .
  9. 461 is a fine saw and will run a 25" bar , our's are usually on 20" and that suits them well . If you want to run anything bigger than a 25" I would go for a 660/661 or a husky 395 , all capable saws . A selection of bars is a must in my opinion.
  10. We had no end of bother with our 261's . Got two Echo 620's now , a bit heavier but reliable unlike the 261's
  11. As said good firewood but rots if left outside uncovered , we sell a fair bit of it from roadside clearance work .
  12. We got our Transit tipper mapped a few years back , started getting the engine light coming on and going into limp . Fault was always fuel pressure too high boost pressure too high , returned it to standard and the faults never returned , it actually used more fuel than standard mapping too .
  13. We have a 63 plate hilux , you can't beat them for reliability . D Max drives well but by mates one needs fuel filters every couple of months and he's now getting dpf issues and it's a 15 plate !!
  14. We had oil pump problems with the 441 we had but never on the 461's , dunno if we have high output pumps or not ? The 461's are the saws we all fight to grab first .
