    Orange makita

There have been a few coming across the water but at the moment there coming from Belgium in the teal colours but I’ve had customers wanting Dolmar decals for teal makitas
  3. They are a good solid saw and som do leak and some are ok there is a suction line and a pressure line both pipes arent that expensive and it doesn’t take too long too clean strip down and replace
  4. I forgot to add some photos
  5. Yes they are a nice saw well built I got mine to use on a trailer mill I made
  6. Was that the one that burnt the lawn
  7. Yes It’s up too the individual Iam like @Stubby don’t ever use it at all but it’s there in an emergency got several dolmar’s and solos that haven’t got one and newish big Echo that is standard without one but it’s for your own use only
  8. I’ve got a couple hope it’s detailed enough
  9. The longer pin shouldn’t make any difference to the side cover I’ve chopped and changed from red too blue covers and never had any problems your chain tensioner shouldn’t be breaking there pretty robust here’s a couple of points that should help 1. make sure your bar nuts are loose enough before you turn the adjuster screw 2 make sure your chain catcher isn’t bent or comprised as it affects the depth the cover fits into the frame as shown in photos 2 and 4 the adjuster pin runs along a groove in the chain cover so it can’t go out of the place it sits and has a good travel length as in photo 3 photo one shows the chain catcher and a standard chain cover
  10. The part number you need is 161791-9 teal cover the Dolmar red cover is 161792-7 they cost approx £10-£12 +vat
  11. Not yet you gotta get triples and quads of each model yes the Dolmar ps-420 is still readily available and there still as likeable and great value
  12. Yeah some of the earlier ps-6400 , ps-7300 , ps-7900 red tops didn’t have a left side de-comp valve and at the time one cover was used for both variants so some saws came with this cover when the later black top models arrived on the scene they all had the right hand de-comp valves standard Makita EA-7900

    Dolmar

It should be. a Walbro or tillotson on there I’ve got a parts list I will PM too you tomorrow

    Dolmar

Most parts are NLA for this Saw but it does share its chassis with four other models 112 114 117 119 and you find Parts saws come up pretty cheap sometimes You’ll find it’s a strong Saw once you get it running
  15. Husqvarna 572 full wrap handle with large spikes and chain cover in stock
  16. Have you tried Yandles @ Martock I was down there last week got quite a selection
  17. @Stubby haven’t seen that side by side for a while love that muffler it’s class i was hoping @spudulike could have a think about a muffler like this on that project for me
  18. I’ve just sent you a reply to your pm but there’s so many variants too this flywheel and coil combination and most wont work without the other as @billpierce knows there’s been updates to part numbers in various years and before Makita and Dolmar aligned there models there are numerous options for instance dcs 500 5000 5001 5020 5121 5030 5031 and ps 500 510 5000 5100 5105 and some had easy starter some had normal start so two different coil again now Dolmar and Makita have got the EA and PS models the same specs only changed the colour teal and red
  19. Thanks Dave always keep a few refills and hooks around so easy too cut them There is approx £12-£14 difference between the Johan Husqvarna And the Oregon Spencer 15m 50ft tapes
  20. Pm sent
  21. Hello yes Iam around a good around Saw would be the Dolmar ps-7910 or Makita EA7900 both will handle a big bar and are nimble on a smaller bar the Dolmar / Makita 9010 has been discontinued Ive always got new and like new saws around
  22. This should help change that problem
  23. Yes good idea and weight
  24. Thanks Steve yes it has the Fuji Robin cutting gear the two larger models are the same style as your trimmer. Makita purchased Fuji Robin 10yrs ago and it was consolidated into the brand 4-5yrs ago , the hedge trimmers have got that Robin influence throughout also Robin brushcutters where available until earlier this year with the prefix Makita RBC but now Dolmar / Makita don’t make a 2-stroke stropimmer , brushcutter only MM4
