  3. Good afternoon Forum i need some advice please I have a friend looking at a husky 55 which I have bought privately and he has some concerns on the throttle linkage movement. He seems to think the carb is not opening fully but he has never really worked on one before and he wants to make sure this is ok before handing it back to me. does anyone have the same saw that they could compare with or even answer the question so he can set his mind at rest please? thank you IMG_7827.MOV
  4. Morning forum I’m interested if there is anyone in the Surrey or Berkshire area that has any firewood seasoned/green for sale at a fair price I don’t mind chopping it up myself it’s for our small log burner 5kw. thank you in advance

For sale Sachs Dolmar 109 chainsaw This saw has only been used for occasional home use for pruning and trimming tall conifers around our home. Been very well looked after and cleaned regularly, the only issue it has it will sometimes leak a little chain oil if left sat upright. Other than that it’s a lovely saw we are going down the battery route now. open to fair offers for the saw I’ve seen the same saw on eBay as a non runner for £150 we would be happy with anything between £100 and £150 for ours

  6. Good morning forum I need to sell my chainsaw and was wondering if some kind soul on here could help me price it for a fair price? the saw runs beautifully and has certainly helped us out pruning and trimming down conifers. the only 2 reasons we are selling it is we are going down the battery route and the other reason it tends to want to drop some chain oil when left on the shelf upright.
  7. morning not sure on the age of the saw however it has been very well looked after hence me purchasing it. I'm disappointed with the seller as he was not honest and should have pointed out the fact it leaked oil. the reason I went second-hand was simply my budget. a new saw in my budget would have been cheap Chinese rubbish I'm an occasional user for cutting logs up for our small 5kw stove and buying logs small enough for our stove is difficult hence the saw purchase. I want to get this saw working as it should I may have to see if my local car mechanic would tackle the job I've used him for years on my old trusty citroen synergie. the part itself seems reasonable and the oil resistant silicone is too I just need someone to want to tackle the job
  8. Woking Surrey. im happy to post to someone if they can fix it for me
  9. found this link today Makita Dolmar Oil Leak Fix | Arboristsite.com WWW.ARBORISTSITE.COM Well, this hasn't been touched on in awhile so I thought I would do a thread on addressing the dreaded Dolmar puddle... very good read up but I'm not sure its something I can tackle I would rather find someone that could take this job on for me and get my old saw fixed.
  10. thanks for all your efforts so far guys! im the type of person that if its not right it needs to be fixed or nothing at all. if I cant get it fixed I will just have to put it on ebay or something.
  11. ok cheers guys, I will need to sell the saw back on with the current problem advertised as I cant live with it its messing up my newly fitted shelves. wish people selling stuff were honest so frustrating.
  12. Morning Forum is there anyone on the forum in the surrey area that may be able to help me with getting my newly purchased second-hand saw oil leak problem fixed if so how much please? after searching google its seems a common problem on these saws which wasn't apparent at point of purchase through market place, the guy has stitched me up and of course now he has vanished off the face of the earth. I believe the oil line over time becomes sloppy and needs replacing, is this correct? any advice or help would be great please. this is the part I need I believe https://www.partshopdirect.co.uk/makita-suction-line-oil-cpl-p020245041/
