  1. hello harvey yes it has got the tool less tensioner but to be honest i hated it at first but i like it now it sort of suits this saw as its not on A list of peoples saws
  2. hello ed here are two pictures below of the 9010 after i lathed off the bar mount studs if i had removed the the bar mounting plate i would have seen what was in behind i could have just moved the studs over to the d009 mounting i didnt realise there where two mounting options no need to lathe down the studs as there is a recess on the chassis of the saw
  3. hello harvey the studs are 8mm and they are set in a recess of the saw and the mountiing is d009
  4. hello jon are you going to mibourne st andrew tomorrow
  5. hello harvey i will have a look tomorrow
  6. with the 8mm studs the bar iam using is 320RNDD009 100% the only reason i changed the original bar was because it was a solid nosed bar so i was trolling ebay us and came across this 32'' oregon bar chain combo it was listed as fitting solo 603, 690, 694 and dolmar 7900, 7910 9000 , 9010. knowing that the solo 690 and dolmar 9000 was the same saw but after doing some research the american models had the 8mm bar studs not the 12mm studs that we have in europe but one plus that came out of this mix up is i got a new dolmar bar for the 133
  7. hello ed i ground my studs off with a lathe down to the right thickness but if you take them out and go to a dealer or find old scrap saw and take them out there is a 8mm thread underneath that flange 100% cheers
  8. hello you could always send that lovely 143 down to me i would sort out a bar for you and send it back a few years time
  9. hello as miker said the dolmar /makita 9000 and 9010 are on large bar mounting studs and they take the same bar chain combo as the sachs dolmar 133 / 143 here are two oregon bar numbers that iam sure will fit 36RNFD009 404 CHAIN 36'' 36ONFD033 404 CHAIN 36'' THE SAW IN THE PICTURE BELOW I HAVE CHANGED THE BAR STUDS BACK TO 8MM SO I CAN USE A MORE VARIED RANGE OF BARS THIS A DOLMAR PS 9010 8-TOOTH SPROCKET WITH A 32ORNDD009 BAR MOUNT 32'' 3/8 0.50 GAUGE
  10. it goes well iam very happy with the saw
  11. nice too see you got it now  i bought one on the 27/02/14 and its in erlanger germany now , next week will probably get a letter saying must pay customs charge
  12. hello they are still worth a nice penny or two , this one finished not so long ago on ebay 251454787943 going buy this its worth having cheers
  13. hello Ed these studs are the same as my dolmar 9010 i turned them down on the lathe till they fitted in the bar snug until i got time to new ones the large mount husky 395 , 3120 or large mount sachs dolmar 133 .143
  14. yes it does look a good compact set up
  15. great milling pictures lovely peice of wood
  16. hello ed have you got the straight 8mm bar studs on your makita or has it got the 12mm shanks at the base of the mounting studs cheers andrew:thumbup:
  17. i agree with jon on this ORNDD009 but if the makita uses the same studs as the dolmar PS 9010 i have just bought then the bar mount studs are bigger and the only bar that will fit is the large mount husky 395 3120 / dolmar 133/143 RNFDO009 or change the studs to 8mm like i have just done and now can use a range of bars
  18. but youre one of the lucky ones when all else fails you gotta T-REX to fall back on
  19. nice one jon  good weather tomorrow mate hopefully the 11 game run for bath winning will end :thumbup1:
  20. hello jon and eggs and anyone who follows rugby who is going to win it should be a good game
  21. thats very true there is another 076 finishing tomorrow night i bought a dolmar kms-4 wankel from this seller last year and he emailed me to say this saw was being listed this week there are some good sellers on ebay but there are some dodgy ones you just gotta be very selective
  22. yes thats true hopefully they will get the message money is the only way that will change their veiws after all softwood is much easier to process and you can turn it around quicker if you have it stored right
