Hi
"Click here to enter site" - just what was going on in their tiny minds?
Internet Explorer - I should be grateful really, its legendary lack of security, ability to harbour masses of crud & the cause of so many problems I have fixed - cheers Microsoft.
Ditto for Java & Adobe SW Flash - hideously insecure craplets,
"Yes, yes, i know you said don't open attachments when Sophos alerts, but I did, I did..." Never mind, its not a problem you're ignorance has wasted my time, but only once as Ive booked you a one way ticket to a nice clinic in Switzerland - was my reply.
Websites which have an interesting aplication that may be useful, but can you find the price? no its well buried, nowhere is there a simple products & pricing table. So, you download the trail & install it waiting for the pay us $29 timebomb at which point you think, why diddnt you tell me this & I wouldnt have bothered?
So called clever (not) search boxes with grey text that states 'Search our site' in the box - so you type in someting like '550xp chainsaw' & get "sorry no results for 550xp chainsaw Search our site" what brain dead moron programed this?
Banks - I must admit most have pretty crap security, so here we go:
1. 'Remember my User ID' - Uh, thats half the frickkin logon, what moron allowed that?
2. 'Secret words' filled in by letters that allow use of the keyboard as opposed to just the selection by list- ahem, have the dimwits heard of keyloggers? its mouse only FFS!
3. Not allowing the characters !@£$ in passwords - utter planks, this strengthens a password significantly.
4. They use Flash? Im floored, for the love of God why? This is a gaping hole, so flash blocker required in most banking apps - someone would have signed off on this - they should be banned from working in IT then shot for the benefit of mankind.
Oh & finally, people who think its OK to bank on a mobile because its 'cool' - it really isnt secure enough.
I could go on but that will do.
