  4. What's the chances I was just going to ask about this:blushing: Daft question really but see the washer it sits against...What way round does it go? Had mine apart the other day to change the oil pump and there a bit of movement between the E clip washer and drum:confused1: Looks to me like the drive for the pump has been coming out of the notch and running round the edge of the drum. The saws in work and I'm off for 2weeks and it's been bugging me. Thanks in advance

  9. I'm a "modern day mechanic" I still work in the garage where I served my time. It's usually dealership trained mechanics that are crap.

The bosses sister dropped of her Honda Easy start lawn mower of the morning (It would start) cleaned the plug and the carb, so now it starts:D had a look at the blade and thought that doesn't look right, it was upside down.... But on the middle of the blade there's a dome for the centre bolt to sit in so when it was round the wrong way the to bolts than hold it on when tightened where bending the blade up,apparently it's been like that from new, it's 7years old.

  12. Oft that's one job I hate is doing brake pipes! Lol my dads car failed its mot on them years ago and I was off work and booked it in my work to get done

  17. Lol I hate cars, since the new changes have started its a pain. Is a pan hard not the arm that goes from the front axe to the chassis ? And any boots like track rod end , ball joint or drop links have a hole in that's a fail. And the holes in your boot must be within 30 cm of seat belt or suspension component, intact I love cars!

Not really a bench but on my ramp! vauxhall movano van with timming belt failure, 54plate with 100,000 miles on it was at another garage but they couldn't do it for a week or two so we took it on, I reckon when all done it will cost between £1500-1800. So if any of use are putting off getting your timming belt done. GET it done
