This saw is getting on my nerves got it all put back together using the old bar and chain and used it to chop up old pallets and some logs, was fine...but noticed the fuel cap had a slight leak, so ordered new cap, bar and chain. Fitted the new bar/chain and cap so now it starts revs but dies when you start cutting but starts again no bother revs out try another cut then dies, now the new fuel caps leaking I've had the carb of and cleaned it,checked the coil wires, and plug looks good, any ideas?? Thanks for your patience

  16. Was just going to ask about a similar problem with my 026, started and cut ok with the old bar and chain on it and a noticed the fuel cap was leaking, so ordered new fuel cap and fitted the new bar and chain all at the sametime, was trying it yesterday and when you put it near a lump of wood it dies but when a felt it trying to cut out I lifted it out slightly and would rev fine. I've not even looked at chucked in the shed. Will have a look tomorrow, was thinking maybe tank vent or coil but any suggestions would be great:thumbup: .
  17. See the one when they stand on the log, imagine the mess if they hit there foot:blushing:
