  1. Mine needs one " cough " on choke if you leave it for a few mins . First start of the morning I have found it best to let it run for a few seconds with it still in half throttle mode with the chain spinning before you blip the throttle . Then a few blips and hold it TWO and it peaks to full revs and you are good to go .
  2. Been ok today but rain crept in this evening Jon .
  3. Or........ it says JW6500 on the starter pull cover .....
  4. There is a certain patina to the moldings . I think they use a higher percentage of " re grind " in with the fresh granules which gives it that look .
  5. Hope the piston is not a cheap chinker . OEM preferably or Meteor . And check that the reason it needed one has been sorted ( air leak perhaps ) .... Keep the old pot .
  6. Forestry is harder work if you want to make shilling but the ground is nearer ...
  7. At least they have not put a Husqvarna 365 sticker on the pull start cover this time ....
  8. You don't see many people trying to cut trees with an axle stand .....Reg did not run T540 over because it performs well as a saw . The 201 on the other hand....
  9. I think Reg has just about covered all the relevant points there.....
  10. The big stack I call round wood if it is then cut to make an 8x4x4 stack it becomes cord wood . Any good ?
  11. Its the American term and spelt dawg not dog .....
  12. Opinion is divided on how bad the 201 is . Some are not as bad as others it would seem . Some people even like it . Ours however was total pants so for us T540 all day long .
  13. The jam sandwich evolved into the batenburgh (spelling)
  14. Would be nice I suppose but I am not that bothered about the spring . Replaced it once and the new one bent the same but it all still works fine and does not inhibit the vibe damping .
  15. I think you will find it has something to do with a popular fish .....
  16. The body on mine is out of line due to the rear AV spring bending ( second one ) and the techlite bar de laminated . Replaced that with the older type bar . I still rate it though . Better than a 201 anyway .
  17. As he has done in the last pic ?
  18. Husky bars are made from high tensile sea water ! Get a Sugihara ....
  19. Trouble with using a smaller battery is the alternator is matched to the design spec battery and if you use a smaller one the alternator could boil the smaller battery .
  20. The chips are coming out longer because they are longer . They now fill the space were a cutter was on a full comp chain . The cutter is not in the wood any longer for a given chain speed .
