  6. Had a 372 ,sold it to get a 576 . Did not like that so sold it and got another 372 , Pre Xtorque and ported by spud so not lacking in any department . Not tried the Stihl .
  7. Went through this a few weeks ago when I put up the thread " Horses and Sycamore Seed " .
  8. Ok .
  9. Now we are getting there !
  10. All wood burns if its dry . I burn what I have . conifer included .
  11. I like " Predator" the hand held V8 ( 2 man ) that hold the world record for being totally bonkers ......
  12. We recently felled 2x big forwarder loads of syc next to a horse paddock . The grazing was good ( I know we have a horse ) . One of the horses was touch and go for several weeks and one died . Horses don't need, nor should have " cow grass " . This can lead to colic and laminitus ( the latter being crippling and some times fatal ) So what might seem to others as inadequate grazing can sometimes be just right as long as there are no sycamore keys . When you say "they have lived together for thousands of years so there is no threat " is because its always happened but only recently found to be the sycamore keys .
  13. Echo looks good . Pleased with it ? I assume that was the customer below you dragging without a hat:biggrin:
  14. Bright with a cold start here Jon . Gingered up the stove this morning ! Getting colder over the next couple of days she said ....

  18. Have now Steve . Did you think it up ?
  19. I had a manual advance and retartd on my 700cc Royal Enfield twin . Used to retard the ignition to kick it over and as soon as it fired push it back to the stop . Had a valve lifter on an old Panther I seem to remember .
  20. Yea I blip the throttle once or twice but thats all . A bloke I used to work with used to do it continually though , used to drive me bonkers !
  21. From what I have heard/read on here it seems to be only the newer Xtorque 372 and 365 but I could be wrong . all the saws I have the de comp works fine .
  22. Science again prevails Mark
  23. Ah yes I;m with you . I was thinking pre Xtorque . Is there room to fit a blanking plug like you could on the old side mounted ones ?
