  1. [quote=spudulike;1230215 Stubbys saw already has improved flow so reckon the airfilter mod should enhnce it some more! All of stubbys saws are " enhanced " 3 of them down to spud ( Steve ) 1 down to petemate and one down to the Walker saw shop . Do it ! you know it makes sense
  2. Husqvarna 365 Xtorque is a good bet purely because its a very simple mod to make it into a 372Xtorque . Just grind off the fins on he inside of the transfer covers and shazzam ! you have a 372 for 365 money .
  3. Nobody has said to the pub then ?
  4. If the larger 562 filter makes no difference then why did Husqvarna make it ? I have converted my 560 to high top filter and cover and I don't know if its physiological or not but it does seem to zip up a bit more ..... I do have a MM and possibly other work inside but cant be sure on that as Pete was secretive about it !

Bashing your bishop is only a temporary thing . Worth doing to get you off but if woken later it doesn't help ......

    Insomnia

I am a real bad sleeper now . Up until I had kids I could sleep 8-10 hrs dependent on the amount of beer consumed . Now at the age of 62 I need to fall asleep within 10 - 15 mins of going to bed . If that happens then great I might get 4 or 6 hrs . if I get woken any time after those first 15 mins then I am awake for the rest of the night . If a cockroach farts a mile away I am awake . I don't get much sleep these days .
  8. Cream of chestnut soup ....just to be seasonal . Love it .
  9. I don't know which Greek wrote the proverb but I recognize a Rush lyric
  10. I disagree . I think the Burley looks better . I have Burley Hollywell and find it simple to operate , only 2 controls , the door and the air slide . Lights easy peezy lemon squeezy . Punts out more than its rated 5KW . One thing that is not up to par is the top baffle plate . Bent and distorted with the metal gauze flaking off after 2 winters . Made my own out of 3.0mm thick stainless and that is fine . A replacement top baffle plate is £87 ! Mine is better . It needs looking at but apart from that it is a cracking stove . Oh and its still warm in the morning with embers under the ash so fires up quick and that is NOT with it " damped " down , just set at the normal burn .
  11. I am a Burley man also but have heard only good things about Arrow . Is easy on the eye too .
  12. Smell is distinctly different .
  13. I'm not windy bud . Just thought it was cleaver that it detects when drive is needed thats all .
  14. Temp tumbling now Jon . Forecast possible -5 here tonight in the country side . Stove going !
  15. I thought the fact that it detects when drive is required to the other wheels and delivers it with out you having to select it as per the demo on the 3 rollers .
  16. Yep . I understood it and its quit impressive . No mention of the regeneration cycle of the DPF then
  17. Clear as a bell hard frost -3 or -4 Jon .
  18. I never use the brake . Never have . Goes against modern rules but its habitual . They never had a brake , or AV when I first picked one up
  19. and this original band had the slot in it to shave a tinzy weenzy micro gram of weight from the total ! The best way I have found to stop the band from snapping is to not use the brake . Mine is one of the very first 2011 saws and the slotted band is still in tact
  20. Bad news bud . Sorry to hear it . I am in West Sussex but don't have the tickets you require . All I do is drive a big JD on the shoot . I don't know if Mark Odin could help ( MJO Forestry ) Call 07979 870261 He has a big Valtra and massive forwarding trailer . He is near me in West Dean near Chichester .
  21. Windy as a very windy thing Jon . Been awake since 2.0am
  22. When I first saw him ( avatar ) I accused him of being a second row ....he did not deny it !
