50:1 is a ratio It will still be 50 : 1 The proportion of petrol may be 25% less than an old engine and therefore the proportion of oil will be 25% less This still equals a mix of 50 : 1 . . Take the whole 5ltre can mixed at 50 : 1 . Tip out an egg cup full . That egg cup full is still 50 : 1 .
  7. Well I wondered if he had ever had one but I don't think so ( I had him from someone else ) . Having said that very occasionally I have put him on a slip lead and you don't know he is there so maybe he thinks he is on the lead .

  9. Been taking my spaniel out last thing at night around a 18 acre field . Bought one of those flashing collars so I could check where he was . Laugh ! I put it on him and he would only walk to heal . Tried to " send " him but nope walk to heal only . Couple of hundred yards we did . Took the collar off and he went like a missile . gave him a mo , whistled him back put the collar on and shazam ! walking to heal again . Made me laugh .

  14. I was going to mention the tang of the helicoil . Well done on that . I helicoiled the sparkplug hole on a VW air cooled engine once and was advised by a German that the Magnesium alloy swarf would burn up on the first ignition of fuel !
  15. Thats exactly how I saw it ( pardon the pun ) If you rammed your finger in at speed it would get cut/nicked but most of it would still be attached . After all the finger needs to make contact with the blade to establish the conductive circuit .
  16. I have heard it said ..." if your not wet your not working " .....
