  1. Done twice a year here . What I dont like is they muller off all the berrys for the birds winter feed .
  2. Its got an air leak from somewhere . Or fuel starvation . Or both .....Check the small round gauze filter in the carb . Check all the rubber components for splits letting air in . Also check the tank breathe is not blocked .
  3. We are lucky here . We have Henry Whitby who is a nice guy.
  4. Its standard practice around here on a tractor at the times of year you are allowed to " cut " a hedge . I think they do a total butcher job but to be fair the hedges always recover .
  5. The fact that you have never had to call upon the protection of said PPE tells me you now what you are doing . However , never say never ! Some strides ( front protection only ) would be good , gloves I have never had to call upon but still use " non chainsaw protection " Sugihara gloves from Rob D on hear . Strides vary in price from cheap to bonkers money . Its up to you really .
  6. If its a CA you still need to give them notice of your intentions > As Huck says if they don't respond within 6 weeks of receipt of your application you can go ahead .
  7. I think what it is is the guy has been using a saw all his working life and he is doing what he would do in the woods . Its like I have been driving ( legally ) since I was 17 and am 63 now . I would not pass a driving test today I am sure but I am not dangerous . Its not acceptable I agree and needs addressing as you are not getting what you paid for .

  15. To be fair the first time I was reminded of this formula was from Steve ( spud ) a few years back . . I had heard it before in the distant past but had been lost from my armory of snippets over time
